Why is blank posting infractable in the Spam Forum section?

Seeing as it's a forum where you don't have to have any content to post, I don't see why a blank post would be infractable...?

Actually I think Matthew's the reason blank posting is banned, not Richard. He basically said it was pointless spam and it takes up unnecessary server load for the site.

Because it is in the rules. Richard said it wasn't allowed so you can take it up with him if you want it to be allowed again.

How is ending blank posts going to make the SF worse? They are just blank posts and do nothing whatsoever aside from take up server load for a post that doesn't contain anything. Why people want to blank post so hard I'll never know.
