With more and more ways to make gold within OSRS, why has the price of gold stayed relatively consistent?

I just feel that it should be lower based on all of the good money makers out there
It's already in the lower end of things. I'm assuming things like the Duel Arena tax is helping a lot preventing gold prices to nosedive.

whats the current market price? I looked at one thread and saw 0.45/m and holy shit it really is cheap lmao. although that looked to be a private seller and not a gold reseller price?

0.43 per mill. It has gone up .01 since yesterday and will probably (hopefully) slowly rise due to a major botting site being shut down. Hopefully more sites get shut down because i'm hoarding a lot of gold right now and want the prices to go up

Agreed with prior comments on gold sinks helping maintain a minimum.
powerbot was pretty dead anyway. most likely zero effect.
Right now it seems to be at an all time low. What prevents it from falling further is probably the duel arena tax and large influx of new players.

The answer to your question is it has actually decreased a lot over time. 10% every month or so (correct me here) is a massive drop a currency can have long term.
