New Way to Check Market Swap Rate 07 - RS3

Was replying to a post a minute ago and realized there is a really simple way to compare the market exchange rate between RS2007 and RS3 Gold. This can be done by comparing the GE prices of bonds on each game, since both are the same price in USD / value.

The way to check the market exchange rate is as follows:

Check Price of 07 Bond on Grand Exchange

Check Price of RS3 Bond on Grand Exchange
http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/Bond/viewitem.ws?obj=29492

Divide RS3 Bond Price by RS2007 Bond Price.

August 6th, 2015:
9.662M RS3 / 1.922

5.02M RS3 = 1M RS2007

Make sure to check this calculation daily to get an updated market rate. Also a cool project would be to graph this ratio over time using the GE values for both for a historic exchange rate.

I used this to find which is cheaper to get membership but never for swap rates. Thanks for the information.

 

Clever. Since when has the rate been this low? I know swappers obviously use a higher rate, but I still remember it being around 1:8-9.

Maybe a year or two ago , but rs07 has been flooded with lots of gp lately.

 

RS2007 prices have dropped significantly over the past 4-5 months. This interestingly has overlapped with the dismissal of Mod Reach, who was supposedly injecting exploitable code to create wealth ingame.
