I dont see the problem, anyone can just hop over to google and type in 'buying runescape gold'. There isn't much difference to be quite honest.

 

Theres HUGE difference.
1. It costs alot
2. You probably get scammed by some chinese goldfarmers
3. U might get banned
4. Transfer is hard and takes alot of time.

And Jagex wont sell gold because soon people would have too much gold and they would stop playing and in couple of years Jagex wouldn't be making money anymore.

 

I'd think that if they did something like this, they wouldn't make it cheap.
I guess they make more money from the membership kids use obtaining the money legit than they would by selling it - without the averse consequences.

Some users would have 100MillionBillion, where others would have 100,000.

If Jagex attemtps to remove players from selling gold, it means that the playing field is leveled, just for general money methods. Whereas when they introduce updates like the climbers, they do stuff it up. Jagex already makes enough money, I don't see them ever needing to sell gold.

 

They'd make loads of money the first day. Then, people would get extremely bored.

 

This would ruin the game.

Rich kids would just come in and buy everything <_<.

And if there was an infinite amount of the said item being sold instantly on their official webiste, there would be no rares.

There would be no items worth aton of gold.

Some Smart-Guys are doing it, not on runescape. On other mmo games. And simply ruins the game.

 

If runescape sold gold/items they would make a fortune(Not like they dont already)

I do not agree with this, where are they going to get the money... if they going to do this they have to created rsgp out of no where.... this will cause inflation ...everything would rise and people who cant afford buying rspg would have to work harder to buy their items

Alot of games do this, Gpotato does this with all its games, buy credits online or at a store and buy items ingame to sell, etc. I don't see why they don't do this, but I guess they want people to take time to earn their money

 

1.) JAGEX, NOT Runescape is the company.
2.) Why lose more then gain more? Jagex would lose millions selling in game items.

People would just quit because the game is too easy.
