Why doesn't Jagex do what blizzard did?

I'm pretty sure Blizzard just bought all the gold selling sites for WOW.

Jagex could do the same thing, and make bank.

Blizzard doesn't farm gold. They simply bought the companies doing it. It would be cheaper just to buy the companies and make money from selling gold, then it would be to sue the company for them profiting off their game.

Same thing happened with Gibson and Epiphone. Gibson just bought the whole company instead of suing them.

 

Haha well IMO RuneScape should sign up here and sell for $3 a MIL INSTANT DELIVERY regardless of stats/starting cash and then they can spawn the money on your account

Hmm, I dont think Jagex has enough money to buy all the gold-farming companies. Blizzard had a lot more money to spend because of its subscription fee.

 

If Jagex did this, it would ruin the economy, for everything would shoot up. It would also give legit players even less of a sense of accomplishment for the wealth they have earned. In my opinion, this is a very bad idea.

 

1) Jagex cant sell Gold for there own game, it would make it worthless and the game would become pointless

2) You can still buy WoW gold on tons of websites, not sure what your on about.

3) Jagex are not Blizzard, i doubt they'd mimic there every move.

4) To above WoW does not sell gold to there members.
