Why Does Vista Suck?

This is all i ever hear but i really want to know WHY?

 

Well most things never used to work on Vista, i don't know whether that has changed recently. But yeah, when Vista first came out, like no programs would work on it.

I'm used to using Vista now so i quite like it, originally i hated it though.

 

Mostly the people that say that vista sucks are the hackers, and kids that like to watch porn.
Because their parents can find out easier etc.. and for hackers most good tools are only XP compatible.
In my opinion Vista is perfect for any gamer.
And no u cannot use a XP restore disk on a vista operator lol. ( common sense )

I actually really like Vista. It's better then Linux at least.

 

I did hear once that Vista is a bigger program than XP so it uses up more space and slows down the computer a bit more, don't know if thats true or not.

no i don't think you can use a XP recovery manager on vista there is only the standard vista one

The people that told you Vista was bad obviously were unable to explain why. Perhaps we shouldn't listen to them then.

 

I don't know why people hate Vista, I love it alot more than XP, and I wouldn't touch a Mac.

 

I own a labtop with vista, and its as smooth as a baby's bottom.

 

My laptop has vista, and besides the occasional freeze's, It works perfectly.

 

Vista is sluggish; visual features bringing down performance, so called security measures being nothing but a pain in the ass, program incompatibilities... List goes on and on.

You're silly. What you do online can be found out just as easy as it can on XP. Parental controls however might make a difference depending on the settings. Real "hackers" don't use windows vista, and those who complain about their "tools" not working because of vista aren't hackers.

 

LOL I love you CP, but what i meant by Kids who watch porn i meant by the ones that simply go on IE or Firefox and delete their browsing history. With windows vista they now have the mojavexperiment thing, you never seen the commercials ?

And by the hacks, they can be skiddies whatever, but some real hackers programmed really good hack tools for xp systems, and they do not want to adjust it to work for vista too because it will take so long, so that is what i meant.

But hay I'm a skiddy.....Just an opinion from a wannabe.

I don't think you've seen a Vista DESKTOP with 4GB+ of RAM... It's not good when you have 512mb of memory on Vista, not even possible, and 1GB RAM still isn't good, so 3GB is good for a laptop. I got 3GB on my laptop with Vista and I'm dual booting XP and Vista on my desktop with 2GB and it works perfectly fine, clean install, no crappy useless software to slow down the boot time or program startup. Hasn't done anything wrong at all on my desktop. I'm just saying that if you have a low amount of memory on Vista, you're screwed, and that's probably why it's so sluggish.

 

Almost every time you hear somebody that complains about vista being horrible is when they have shit hardware. Now I agree when it came out it had some bad stability issues, but it was all fixed in SP1.

I mainly got vista just so I could get DX10 support though. I'll say, Vista has worked perfectly for me since the first day I booted it up.

all you need to run vista fine is 2GB ram and atleast a dual core processor. Anything above a Pentium 4 2.6ghz should do fine too.

 

That's the thing, I shouldn't have to buy extra hardware just to use an operating system at its default settings. That's just garbage.
