Why do we dispresect our parents?

On topic: I try to respect my parents, but when you are with them all the time, you lose appreciation for what they do, and tend to disobey them.

 

I never disrespect my parents. They do so much for me and my brother so the least I can do to thank them is be nice to them.

I try my best to respect my parents in anyway possible.

However, I would argue with them if I thought that I was in the right. I do not think that is disrespectful.

 

I always try to respect and appreciate my mom, but we do get in constant arguments.

 

It's natural for children (teens) to have discontention with their parents, can't get everything you want. As you get older you'll gradually come to respect and treat them in a civil manner (if you don't already).

 

Well if you want my respect you have to earn it. That applies for everyone even my parents.

 

What! I love my parents.

But other people probably don't like their parents because they don't understand them.
