Why do so many people do business with newcomers?

I've been wondering this for a long ass time. Everyday I see countless reports of people getting accounts recovered, being scammed gp, etc. We all know (I would hope) that on the internet where your identity is unknown that there are thousands of people who would scam with no thought to the human being they are doing it to.
So WHY do people buy/sell to people on this site with <10 posts, no vouches & absolutely no basis to go off of whether they are trustworthy. I just don't understand this. I want people to wake up and use common sense ffs. Please.
- My PM's are open if this has happened to you or if you are thinking of doing business with newcomers and the people this post is about.
- I know ofc that not all newcomers will scam, but there are sooo many well-known trustworthy people who can assist you in any category you desire. Maybe for a higher price but looking at all the lost money and I'm sure depressed people who got scammed; is it worth it ? Sorry for the ramble, I'm just genuinely baffled and want people to wake up and not get scammed. This would make more of Sythe a better place than it already is. Thanks.

 

People are desperate. You can see this basically everywhere, especially on Sythe with sections such as Donor Dicing etc. Hell there's a whole market for gambling on CSGO. The chances are like 95% that you'll lose, though they'd like to give it a shot, what if they belong to that 5% of being lucky? Sadly most people only realise the dangers of trading when they end up getting scammed.

Meanwhile I'm being accused of scamming someone's 65M 07GP. Coincidence? I think not. Watch out for the news headline "$300 donor scams 65M" soon.

 

Still would like to get other opinions. Some from people who actually got scammed this way.

I agree 100% with what Wortel said. A lot of people are eager to get what they want and don't want to wait so they end up going with the cheaper/sketch guy. I know this because it has happened to me lol. Several times tbh. I get so eager to want to play and I just decide to take the chance anyways. The sad thing is I usually tell people to just be patient and save up for someone more trusworthy yet I can’t even do that myself :S

 

I personally Spent 200M on 2 accounts that ain't worth the price to the extent but i paid mainly for the safety of the trusted Users. Personally buying accounts all around can be sketchy. I bought one of i think it was called runemart or something in like 2009 and it sadly got recovered just over a year ago which i spent years upon years training it on rs3 then OS when that was released. Lost alot of investment but overall its the exact reason i pay for the trusted users over a cheap price

 

Trustworthy users may be a lot more expensive etc, but they are definitely worth it when it comes to buying accounts.
