Why do pures have Summoning?

Why are pures getting summoning?
I've seen a good bit that train it, I don't really understand why.
It boosts combat.

 

Yeah, that's the main reason really.
I have 52 Summoning on my 1 Defence pure, reason; It boosts my combat many levels above my target, and allows my to use familiars if I decide I want to.

It's great and such an easy skill to train.

 

Ask yourself: Why do you train Summoning?

If Summoning did affect your PvP combat level, pures wouldn't get it up. And the familiars are pretty useful, so why say no to that?

 

it's not just for pvp, pures use alot of summon for money making/training.

 

My self I wouldn't train it on my pure but I think they use it to raise there levels faster.

 

it's because on a pure you can wait for a target without a summon pouch on you, and you'll get a target that is actually your combat level.

Then you can bank and get a summon familiar to use in the fight, like say a war tortoise.. It holds what? 18 extra food?

So lets say you were a pure lvl 70, without the tort you get a lv 70 target, then you bank and get it making you lv 79 or so.
Even though you're lv 79, you can still attack your lv 70 target in 1deep because he's your target.

So basically it allows you to have 18 extra food in a target fight.

I have seen many Summoning Pures, they are extremely brilliant! A few Hybrids have Summoning for a Bizarre reason - maybe they fail?
