Why do people swear?

good people go through shit in life, getting picked on, beat up, loosing jobs and all there money.

criminals-nothing happens, they live forever, still murdering around not givin a hoo, making money. italian godfathers are to be feared, as there power is incredible, the only reason why people respect them, is because they fear them, if they were not on there side, well you know. but i see your point

 

Thanks for gettin' me... alot of people think the movie "The Godfather" or "Goodfellas" , is just an hollywood movie, hoping for a oscar... it's really not, there is Mafias/Mobs, of Irish,Italian,Asian,Japanese,American, you name it. (African-Americans and latinos/latinas prefer "gangsters".)

As I proclaimed "How will I suceed?" Is the big question... I honestly mean it.

There isn't a person in the world who is content, and power,fear, wealth, and respect all comes with their wants....

Emphasis.

Swearing doesn't hurt anyone, so why do you treat it like a taboo? Swearing can add emphasis to almost anything, and is more or less just use of different words. Nothing in there makes people sound "dirty" or unkind.

 

Swear words are pretty powerful adjectives and they add meat balls to the spaghetti that is your sentence.

the reason everyone swears, is because ur not supposed to. Its like when u say dont do something, thats really just asking them to do it.


what id like to know, kinda like swan, is why swear words are considered dirty, and why people picked them to be considered so bad. i mean did one day some ppl just decide, hmmm i dont like the word fuck, so from now its going to be a bad word and no one should use it

swearing is a sign of stupidity. unless you get hurt really bad and you mutter it than its ok.

When you're being interviewed for a job you wouldn't talk to the boss like this:

Boss; hello

You: what the fucks is up sir?

Boss: excuse me?

You: fuck you bitch. are you fucking deaf?

etc.

 

because at the end of each word that is actually a "cuss" word is a hard ending sound and it shows anger

 

cause its fucking fun as fucking hell

 

Well some people may swear because their friends swear or because they want to look all cool but honestly to me swearing is pointless words are words i dont swear

some people swear when they are surprised or when they are angry this question has many answers.

I don't swear when I'm angry. I'm quiet when I'm angry, which is almost never.

I find swearing to be a colorful use of language which can increase the intensity of any sentence, idea, or clause. Being a writer, I never filter myself to using the worst vulgarity I can in any circumstance. My characters are bad mouthed, and my story will not filter it either.

But mainly, I'm a sailor .
