Why are there always 100+ ppl in inferno services forum?

Ive recently realized that theres a lot of people in it most of the time during the day sometimes it will go down to like 20 then shoot back up to 100+ anyone know why this is?

Agree with you, I have typically been looking at dono amount, replies and views for trustworthiness :/ Obviously vouches are the best but the view farming is dumb.

 

Personally, I’ve never relied on thread views as a method of evaluating trustworthiness. I don’t agree with it being allowed, but am not confident that it’s really an issue.

Looks like it's a bug. if you check who are online on each page individually, the total is actually around 5 ppl maybe lol

 

Staff has discussed this issue privately and while most of us agree that it would be better if it wasn't a thing, its basically impossible to moderate as you can't prove who is viewbotting the thread. If there was a punishment for this of some sort we would see people viewbotting their competition and would just create a whole mess.

OT/ Probably a combination of viewbotting and the section being very popular.

i always wonder why there are so many people in one section too.

I cant say I have view botted, or personally care who does or doesn't click on my threads, but it seems like a big thing for some.

 

Maybe because it is a very wanted service and it’s something somewhat new

 

Trusted inferno services are extremely hard to come by, hence the popularity

 

This starting happening when i was on odablock's stream helping him do inferno in front of 2.5k people and for a while the # of ppl viewing would always be the same so im guessing bugged or something

why is farming views a thing?

 

It makes things look more special to click into, if you see 2 animes, let's say pokémon and death note, pokémon has more reviews that are good, then people are more likely to also click it and watch it.

 

Reviews =/= views.

tldr = views make a thread more appealing, and to some, acts as an indicator of the thread owner/business being reliable/trustworthy.

If there is something that looks more into being checked, you're more than likely going to apply the same view to see which further more gives more xD

Read it again, I was using it as an example based on the comment of viewing threads etc, you cannot "review" a inferno cape thread you view the context within.
