Who here actually plays music?

Just wondering if anyone here is actually musically inclined? Whether it be in a school band or garage band or whatever?

I play Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax, Baritone Horn, and Marimba. I've done marching band, concert band, jazz band, and percussion ensemble at my high school/college, but I want to branch out to more garage band type of music. I'm gonna learn guitar over the course of the next couple years I hope. I also want to learn to sing better. I can sing alright, but I want to get really good.

 

I play guitar , I play for like one year , but I play really good as my teacher says.( Metallica solos and intros) And how long do you play your instruments? I haven't played in a band yet , though I have been invited.

 

Good luck with guitar! I'm jealous of everyone who even knows a little bit of guitar because I have no idea how to do anything on it. I actually had a dream about playing guitar last night. Lol.
Ive played clarinet since 4th grade, sax since 9th grade, marimba since junior year, and baritone horn since my freshman year in college. And I am going into my sophomore year in college now.
And you should play in band! I mean, I am a band geek all the way, so that is coming from my perspective. But it is a great time, and I have had so much fun!

i know how to play the Bass and Electric

But Electric is my master one.

 

I play lead guitar in a punk/ska band called Rebel Scum. Self taught, been playing for a couple of years.

 

been playing guitar for awhile now prob 2 yrs, self taught bass nd drums :] been working on vocal work buh im not so good lol :]

 

I like punk/ska. I'm more into heavy music generally, but sometimes I'm just in the mood for ska, and I put on Ska radio on pandora and just listen away.

 

I played piano from ages 6-10, trumpet for a year, french horn for 3 years, and started playing guitar about a year ago. Guitar is by far my favorite instrument to play

 

I played bass for like a year then I stopped, picked up a guitar a few months ago but I'm really trying to get my voice down and I fuckin suck also played drums for awhile was actualy thinking about going down and picking myself up a good kit again the other day but I didn't end up getting paid.

 

I wish I had a good voice. I am jealous of everyone who does. :/

 

I've played the drums for about 4 years. I'm not in a band or anything, but I do jam with my friends from time to time. I'd really like to sing but I don't like my voice enough so I've been working on my screaming.

 

That's interesting, I never expected someone on here to play instruments such as these. I too play the clarinet and saxophone. I also play the bass guitar too. I am (or at least I'd like to think I am) a very competent clarinettist, and I want to pursue a career in music.

My ultimate goal is going to be to play in a broadway play. I love playing in musicals, and I love broadway, so it would literally be a dream come true. I haven't seen many plays yet, because I was just introduced last year, but it was awesome, and we are going again this year. I don't know what we will see yet, but I can't wait.

 

ive played both guitar and piano... personally, even though it seems a lil pussy. i like the piano better, classics and shit sound nice when ur high

Im glad to see that a bunch of people here are into making music, at least to some extent.
