Personally i expect to see alot from Joey Jihad and Papoose (even though Papoose is already fairly big). Who do you think will be the next big rapper?

Well, the way hiphop is going currently, we probably wont hear another GOOD rapper on mtv besides kanye west, or lupe fiasco. I'm not sure.

See Rhythmical Authentic Poetry. Is what rap is. poetry over a well put together beat. Thats what they thought it was going to be.. when they had artist like Big L Tu pac, ATCQ. But Todays generation are forced to listen to commercialized crap, like "Young jeezy, lil boosie, soljauh boi" ext. giving them a negative persona to the rest of the genres. I honestly HATE when people say stuff like "rap suck" "hiphop is stupid" when they probably haven't heard 1/100 of the songs i listen too.. With TRUE lyrical content, and real meaning behind the lyrics.

Underground wise..I don't know man there are a lot of cats coming up.

Mainstream-Is horrible, but there are still a few real artist in mainstream. Kanye west lupe fiasco talib kweli common. Lupe's new single "Dumb it down" probably put him on top for now.

 

I think Johnny Winters will be the next best thing.
