    White coat syndrome.

Anyone else suffer this? I managed to record a blood pressure of 182/107 in hospital with a heart rate of 112.

I've never been sick enough to be in hospital before, I'm not fat nor do I smoke. My diet is pretty varied and I have a fairly difficult job but I've managed it quite well for the past decade. The docs said I was in potential stroke territory at the point they took my obs.

I was placed on a 24 hour blood pressure monitor at home which has recorded an average BP of 120/86 which is far more reasonable but still fairly high for what I should be resting at. My doctor has officially diagnosed me with White Coat Syndrome which basically means I'm very afraid of doctors which in turn increases my obs.

Also its worth mentioning that I was taken to hospital following an allergic reaction to Root Ginger. I have always been allergic and managed to eat something containing ginger powder which I didn't realise at the time.
