[Food] Carl's Jr. - Beer Cheese Bacon Burger Review

Carl's Jr. came out with another very similar burger to their last 10 offerings. Also overpriced as heck like the rest but I wanted to try this Carl's Jr.

Price Paid: $9.17 after tax with $1 off coupon (combo). Price is $6.50 for the burger itself (yikes!)



I was looking for places to eat and I saw a new item launched at Carl's Jr. It was meant to be!

Of course, like all Carl's Jr. burgers it is loaded with sauce. This time it is a cheap cheese sauce that is all over the burger and made me not want to move the burger to get a better shot.

Not much to say about this. It is loaded with Carl's yellow goo, which was very salty and meh for a cheese sauce, which is saying a lot.

Grilled onions taste like generic fake-grilled onions. Not the worst I've had, but these were fine.

Bacon was bacon.

That's about it.

Fries were oversalted and tasted really bad and eggy like Sonic's new fries. I normally like Carl's Jr fries =[.

Low 4/5 the onions ruined it, cheese was fine but might be better to get less of it on the burger. Maybe scoop some off with the fries.

Wouldn't get this again and wouldn't really recommend trying it, especially at the price point.

I've actually done about 10 vegan reviews which I didn't post. I'll let you know if I ever find anything amazing.

These vegan chicken tacos were pretty good. I don't like chipotle sauce, so that ruined it for me.

Beef is on the left? Maybe? Beef one was a 2/5 not very good at all. Chicken was like high 4/5 territory as far as vegan food goes, which is the highest rated vegan item on my list.

I'm not actually vegan, I was memeing, but I don't eat cows or pigs. My girlfriend is vegan so I'm familiar with the vegan substitutes, and overall your review of this taco actually covers all beef/chicken substitutes. The chicken emulations are very high quality and some come close to perfect. They have yet to do that with beef though (except for that bleeding patty that's gone viral). I really absolutely hate vegan cheeses. I've come across maybe one or two I enjoy, each were cashew based. What was the one in the taco like?

Yeah so true though. Chicken is way better than beef. Bleeding patty though, that's interesting never heard of it.

I've had vegan cheese on burgers and it has been fine. Nothing like real cheese, but it wasn't offensive. Like the flavor was barely noticeable.

I looked into that burger and of course it is made by Beyond Meat. I hear Beyond Meat is really good, and I am really happy to see they are bringing them to the fresh meat aisle even though that might cause some issue with carnivores getting the wrong thing. The guy is also going to make a fast-casual chain for Beyond Meat's burgers. One day I'll try that company's stuff.
