Which PS4?

I'm in a bit of a dilemma, I have just enough money to get a second hand PS4 Pro. Or I could get a second hand PS4 Slim and save some money on the side. Both come with 1TB and a controller + cables. What I'm wondering the most is if the Pro version performs a lot better than the Slim version Fps wise etc. I don't have a 4K TV and dont plan on getting one anytime soon so how big of a difference would that make between Pro and Slim graphicswise? I should probably just get the Slim version but looking for some reassurance

So, I’ve had both.

If you don’t have a 4K TV and don’t mind that Sony pushes firmware to slow down the earlier consoles then get the slim.

The pro is slightly faster and holds more storage but you’ll hardly feel a difference without the right equipment. With the PS5 months away perhaps it’s a better idea to save longer and just get the newer generation console. But.. beware as Sony has disclosed they don’t plan to keep most games from the PS4 in the PS5’s collection.

If you definitely want a PS4 in the end.. Just get the slim, save some extra money for a more expensive game.

Honestly a ps4 pro will probably have more life than the slim they all have overheating issues eventually and Imo the heatsink is better on the pro more room for it to breathe.
