Where's the site going?

I'm not really judging or anything, but I'd like to know? I mean, its been stagnant for about 2 years now with a few minor changes, and such, but nothing drastic enough to bring in new members, or really keep it going much longer.

I'm not pulling the whole 'SYTHE IS GOING TO DIE SOON' card, but I am saying that keeping up with the times could help the site drastically.

For instance, what's going on with the MMO? What about bots? Is anything really being done to progress the site, or is it just in a stasis as what it is now for the time being?

Personally, and this is just a tiny suggestion, I think a bit can be taken from curt, tbh. TheBotNet was a huge success, and if you brought in some fresh blood, and went more towards making money online and in games (ie gold farming, and power leveling) you could probably boost the effectiveness of the site?

 

Sythe has no need to help "his" community out especially when it costs him money (see below).

Seems like someone is going to have to throw out $1,000/m and hope its worth Sythes time to do things for his community.

 

Meh, obviously a lot of changes can happen....but the most realistic questions is, who's going to pay to run the community?

 

Well, Idk but it seems like everone says, "hey could you do..." and the pm or msn chat NEVER falls through. my service is 1/4 of that and 3/4 "bump."

 

Cfrey, honestly, stop your whining and complaining. Would you run something that does not bring you profit?

To be on topic, I think Sythe should have more contests. Maybe a referral contest and bring back the MOTM (Member of the Month) and SMOTM (Staff Member of the Month). We could also do with referral contests.

The site constantly has idiotic new people coming in just to leech. For example, every time I come on msn, there's 4-7 people messaging me to ask if the SVN is up. >_<

We need new members who are willing to help Sythe prosper. New SMART members. And members that know how to trade. A good example is Analogue.

And we need some new staff members. Preferably some who look at the RaS sections a lot. I've reported auth trading a few times and one or two of the threads still aren't closed and the OP infracted/banned. Just my two cents.

 

Reason: It's epic enough.
Sure it might need some updates, etc; but it costs a lot of money for Sythe.

 

Love the answer "there is a recession guys" And to be honest, If I made a successful site such as this, and I think im safe to say many users too would think the same; I wouldn't care unless I was making profit and the site still worked and was successful, Sythe should be making profit for making such a successful site, As for the MMO, I have FAR too much free time on my hands, as my part time job is, well, more than efficient, and therefore perhaps I could lend a hand in some areas I am skilled in.

 

Deacon, that's why we don't have many people from 2007 left here. Most got bored and scammed or just left. I mean I'd like to see something released, the NextGen beta thing was nice but we should be looking at other things. The MMORPG got everyone hard then it slowly, gradually faded.

 

Entertainment can be really big during a recession . Video games are at an all time high at the moment.

Good show. Are you trying to do it by yourself? I'm sure there's a few competent people who won't be a complete disgrace that can help with it?

So, more web applications and such that promote that then? Something new, something unique, at least to this website...

I just feel that a bit of an update could help the site quite a bit.

 

everyone faded because the MMO looked as if it wasn't actually gonna be made at all. I wanted to see the mmo it had some good creative ideas I would have liked to see in action.
