Florida, I work in the oil field. I fly to Alaska for 3 weeks then I come home for days off for 3 weeks & repeat. It's pretty nice working half of the year and making a full years salary.

Rig hands will make 4-7k per 14 days, Derrick hands 7-12k, drillers 15k, and company men about 1800$ a day. Keep in mind there’s no pay when not working.
