Skipping Div 1s

I've been asked this a lot of times, and I always say no. In the countless number of boosts I've completed, I've never skipped a div 1 (Bronze 2>Silver 5, Silver 2>Gold 5, Gold 2>Plat 5, etc.), no matter how many wins I get in a row, my question, have you or your friends ever skipped a division 1? I know you can skip from other divisions but not a division 1.

 

You can skip 5->3->1.

Perhaps what the mean is if you have skipped promotions from division 1 (I.E. you don't need to win three times to go from B1 to S5).

 

Pretty sure you can't skip a whole league, just divisions.

 

or 4->2, but yeah I've never heard of anyone skipping 2->5 or 1->4. I think that if your MMR allows you to do this, they'll just let you skip 5->3 in the next tier.

 

You can skip also from like (for example) gold 5 to gold3 60LP. At times, you'll land at a random LP spot.

 

I've had a friend who skipped from B4 to B1. However, this is the ONLY instance I have ever seen this happen for 5 seasons, I don't think it happens that often.

 

Almost sure you can't skip divisons 1

 

I thought you could skip b1, s1, and g1 but you needed insanely high mmr like playing with p3s in s1. May be wrong though.

 

I go on about it in like every post I make but I don't care it's a great example, I had a 52 win streak from bronze 5 to bronze 1 and I didn't skip a single division, and I never have. I don't know what it takes to skip a division, but from my experience it seems supremely hard, so I wouldn't have thought being able to go from division 2 to division 5 of the next league would ever happen.

 

that means the players mmr is even below bronze 5 thus having 52 wins makes hes MMR still low as hell :') (aka a < 40% winrate) if your average mmr is 2,5 divisions higher (league b5 mmr gold 2+) you will skip ^^

 

Riot stated you can't skip division 1 of any league. I remember reading it some where, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

 

Thanks everyone for your replies, also to the people saying you can skip something such as B4>B1 can anyone confirm this? I'm yet to also see this happen, even after a 23 win streak with 0 losses.
