What's happened to Runescape?!?!

Ok so I haven't played Rs in over a year and I go to do fire giants expecting to have to fight everyone off because they used to ALWAYS be packed, but much to my surprise no one was there. My friend said it was the same way with aviansies (we just started back up together again). Can anyone tell me what is going on? Is there some new thing to kill for money/exp that I don't know about? Or has everyone just quit or what??? I am confused can anyone help me?

 

Well, basically, their is new ways such as: "bandos, armadyl, saradomin, zamorak gwd. Also their is the corporal beast, green dragons, drop parties, farming, herblore, 76k trick. Their is many things new, you just have to explore.

 

Well yea I knew about all that stuff before, but isn't fire giants still good? I mean God before I would have to world hop like 20 times to find an empty world so I could fight some guys, but first world I log into here there is no one.

 

theres just a ton of shit you can kill now so everyone is more spread out, fire giants are still good

 

Less people IS a contributing factor I think...that and there are some other good training spots that people use as well.

Yea I think I have to agree most people just bot now. I have quit botting since my main got banned. They wait till I get my ags and full bandos to ban me. Oh yea and my 99 att str and hp from SW. >.<

You can be cynical and try to blame it on botting, but the reality is that now people just don't train the same way that they use to. A lot of people use new techniques that require less 'hands-on' play (like AFK'ing).

As for money making, mindlessly killing monsters for addy bars or rune drops is so out dated thanks to a new thing called a 76k Trick. You can look it up if you want to know more about it. Or if you still have trouble with the concept give me a PM and I'll help you out.

 

Green dragons or rc'ing is still by far one of the best ways.

 

People just use soul wars. They don't train the 'old' way anymore.

 

Soul Wars is easier and better then the old way, that's why.

 

It's lame. What's funny is when i see a guy with the same stats as me, and 20 less hp levels since he used soul wars. No joke.

I'm level 65 with 78 hp. I only train the old ways and i have higher hp than most people that are like level 90+

 

Too bad they killed staking otherwise your hp level would be a huge advantage.

 

20 less hp points but ownage stats they destroy.

 

When people pull out their DDS, thinking i have like 30 hp, and instead i have 50 hp left, it doesn't destroy.

 

i think most people now at fire giants are slayers

 

I think it's also that all the older players such as myself have no more need to use Fire Giants, and we don't mention them to newer players, making them not crowded.

By 'older,' I mean played longer.
