What's a good cell phone?

Ok..I started working this summer and my mom said I'm probably going to need a cell phone so I am wondering what is a really good cell phone but it cheap to buy...I'm probably going to be texting a lot so i need a phone good for that too...anyways any thoughts or ideas?

Well if you will be using it lots then its the best option in my opinion. I am on a $79 cap. So i pay $79 a month and get $450 of credit to any phone and an extra $100 to telstra phones. I also got a free phone which was worth $700 when i originally got it. I use about $300+ of credit a month so its worth it to me.

Oh and Australia has realllly shit phone plans so you could probably get a lot better deals.

Go to the cell phone company and see what they have to offer. You can usually find one there that fits what you want.

I would get a motorola razr only like $100? and then you activate it. All sorts of colors I have a red one.

I have a SideKick LX. It's a tremendous phone. One bad thing, battery drains rather fast

Another question is are you looking for a particular type of phone? Like a flip phone, one that slides, etc.

tyson, hes asking for a decently priced phone, u hav to consider where he lives, because getting a plan costs beyond the phone price, and plus, if you go over the minutes that your given then they charge u big time fees. i would suggest going to a phone company that u buy the phone and get unlimited minutes and texting for a certain amount of $ a month, dont get a plan, they scam you, big time fees in the mail, theyl charge ya for anything, i was charged for accidently downloading a song.. wtf

sony ericcson phones are pretty nice, nice camera's on them too, your just best off going into a major phone store and having a play with them all, i hate Motorola's they made them to simple.

no razr!!!!! the buttons stop working correctly. the camera cracks. Get a knewer phone for same price if it comes with the plan.

nokia n95 8gb deifently not the ifone or the lg viewty but i think the sony erricson walkman phones are good also

By the way, the phone I use is the Motorola Q9C. You can get a Mogul, or HTC Touch. All good phones, some features QWERTY keypad for texting, but all runs either Windows Mobile, Windows SmartPhone, or Windows PocketPC.

Samsung, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, etc. They all have good phones out, I like all these phones and they have good features and are reasonably priced. You can always get a cheaper deal online so if you're looking to save more money look online.

Just get a cheaper phone, but make sure they update it. Just add a plan onto it.
