GPU's on Black Friday

Im looking to upgrade my GPU. I currently have an AMD R9 290. Its an OK GPU but its starting to fall behind.

I need something that can run Games at at least a stable 144 fps. Specifically Overwatch)
This is for it to keep up with my monitor. 144 is a must.

Are there any GPU's that i should keep an eye on on Black Friday? Do GPU's even drop prices on such "holiday"?
What would be the best GPU for me?

 

290 is still a good card. You're pretty much limited to an upgrade to the new Polaris or new rx 4xx cards mainly due to the vram

 

What about Nvidia?

You live in Toronto too right? Have you ever seen if the do discounts on GPU's on Black Friday or boxing day? Please let me know

 

Not that I know of I'll be checking anyway though.

 

I also think 1070 is a good fit and is what I'm buying. Been looking and looking for discounts. Best you can really hope for is $20 off unless you keep your eye on the deals 24/7. There was one where people got nearly half off the 1070 for a bit, but I missed it.

 

If you find anything that works in Canada hmu, I'd like to score a 1070 as well without paying $550 >_>
