What was the last movie/TV show you saw?

Just watched season 1-5 of Homeland and season 1 of Shooter. Really liked Homeland. Season 5 was a little different though. Shooter was okay for once, didn't really like it.

 

Dexter. All time favorite TV show, it slowed in the 2nd/3rd(?) season, but overall really thoroughly enjoyed it.

Brief review/thoughts: Decent film, gave a nice insight on neo-nazi culture but the ending was a bit meh

Currently watching "The Expanse", quite solid especially since I'm a fan of futuristic shows however it would've been 100 times better if it had a bigger budget.

Name of the film: The Fate of the Furious (fast & furious 8)

Brief review/thoughts: Overall the movie was just bad, acting wise it wasn't great and the plot just gets more n more stupid as this franchise continues. The only good thing about this movie was probably 1 or two funny lines but this did not make up for the two hours of garbage that i just witnessed

Rating (out of 10): 3/10 highly do no recommend

 

Name of the film: Hacksaw Ridge

Brief review/thoughts: I'm a sucker for new age war films, especially good ones. And with the addition of such an under dog and impossible story which it is based upon, its the perfect recipe for a film I'd enjoy. Although immensely impossible in certain places if you follow up the movie by reading into the true story the films depiction is scarily realistic. Overall, good casual watch whilst browsing and gaming.

Done watching all series of Arrow now, kinda sad about the ending of season 5 episode 23, but let's hope that's not the end of the series. Started watching Limitless now.

Brief review/thoughts: Wasn't too good tbh, had a predictable plot and ending and just followed the other typical alien movies which was very boring

Name of the film: Wonder Woman
Brief review/thoughts: It exactly what it was set out to be. Although WW isn't like this in the comics, it's definitely a version of her that I'm interested in seeing more. Gal Gadot played Diana beautifully, she nailed the naivety. The fighting was pretty good too, although a lot of my friends criticize the usage of slowmo for the fight scenes. I liked it though.

Brief review/thoughts: Another new version of a superhero. I dig the clueless, young Spider-Man. The development of his character was done well in this movie.

Name of the film: Valerian
Brief review/thoughts: I was a bit disappointed by the story. It reminds me of Avatar, an incredible opportunity gone to waste. So much more could have been done w this movie.

Name of the film: Atomic Blonde
Brief review/thoughts: Best action movie I've seen in a very long time. This had me clenching in disbelief and pain for the actors for a majority of the movie. Charlize Theron was a bad ass. And it's not one of those action movies where the main character is an unstoppable machine. She gets her fair share of getting her ass kicked, but boy does she fuck those Russians up.
Rating (out of 10): 9.5

 

Watched season 2 of both Scorpion and Shooter. I liked them. Had to get used to Scorpion but eventually I stuck around to watch all episodes.
