What tattoo to get?

Before you say "you should think of it yourself" etc
I am.

Basically I'm coming up 18 and wanna get inked.
Ik it will be with me forever blah blah.

I want a cool looking tattoo for my the inner bit of my forearm, I will probably turn it into a sleeve when I can, I'm not into skulls and reapers, and dragons and shit, but I'm also not into girly stuff, a few examples of cool things would be like a few linked in pictures of just cool looking stuff if you get me.

I guess I want a scenery, or something, like I found a cool one in a desert with cowboys and indians but it was wrapped around the whole arm, and atm this isn't even a question due to my skin I can't get that done, unless my doctor prescribes something that actually works...

I'd like a scene of the sea or a desert, or Autumn with the leaves or just something.

Or would this only actually work with it wrapped round my whole arm?

Please if you can show me idea's and if I love them I might get them inked, to show I'm serious if I do get your tattoo done I will give you 20M gp or $8 and post a picture, though it will be a few months till I can post the pic

 

Honestly, if you have to ask for ideas then you're not ready to get inked. You should only get tattoos that mean something and are personal to you. That's just my opinion.

On a more serious note: What Roary said, you can't really ask for someone else's advise on a tatoo, cause if you asked me, I probably would tell you get pat's logo inked, as that's what means a lot to me; You should have something tatooed that means a lot to you (but not like a 2week relationship's name because that may end up leaving you looking like a retard).

So basically I think that if you want a scenery for example, find one that you really like and wouldn't mind watching at any time, etc. Don't make a hurried decision, or you will regret it. You should post a pic or two btw on your ideas, maybe you could get some more feedback on them then.

 

Really, tattoos are heavy considerations that need a ton of thought before you get it. I got my tattoo a little too quickly, and while I don't regret it there is a mistake in it.

Take it slow.

 

I would strongly advise against tattoo's, as specially at the age you are at now. Someone in my college got a tattoo and showed me it in college, I actually felt sorry for him.

As every one has said take it slow but I think its fine to ask for others input. I reckon never get a name done unless its family or even get your best mates initials or something but never a lover/girlfriend. Four of my mates got AGWA in a shield on there shoulders, each letter for there first names.

Maybe get something your interested in. You mentioned sea, then maybe waves, couple of palm tress and a surf board bam. it doesnt always have to been in proportion either. You can always print of some tattoos and take them to a store and get the artist to do a few changes, theyll ask for like $30 bucks but then its unique and you get to see it before its on your body.

I agree with Mr. Roary, for me tattoo's need to have a meaning behind them.

 

If you gotta ask...none. I most definitely wouldn't want someone else's thoughts carved on my body for life.

 

If your dead set on getting a tattoo this early in your life, and especially without true meaning.
At least get it in a place that is not such a focus point. Somewhere that you will want a tattoo with true meaning once you have it is not a good idea.
Maybe your back shoulder or something? Still in my opinion a nice spot for a tattoo but not as primary as the arm.
