What should I be doing in Dungeoneering?

I've botted 1-67 on my F2P account and feel like joining a group and doing some legit dunge but I honestly have no clue what to do (hence why I botted it). Should I open all doors? Kill the monsters? Head straight to the boss? Help please.

You won't ever learn anything by just reading guides. Botting all the way there was a huge mistake, and you're gonna have to pay for it.

Now, back on topic. If you really wanna understand how Dungeoneering works, you gotta solo a few floors to grasp the concept. It'll be really confusing at first, but you get the hang of it. There are many terms used when teaming, so you better head over to RS Wikia and memorize as many as you can.

Dung takes alot of time to learn. Especially if you want to be regarded as an asset in a 5 man dung.

Theres alot of slang, and alot of other stuff you gotta learn.

But mainly (if you know nothing about dung) Do complexity 1, all the way to your last 5 floors you can go. Do medium on you last 5 floors if there under 25. Over 25 do larges on your last 5.

When your in there, and progressing with the team. Do not attack any montsers in a room that dosen't have a "gaurdian door" in the room. In these rooms you have to kill the montsers to get by. therefore, you don't have to kill all the montsers in a regular room. Also, if its a puzzle its suggested one kill the montsers.

You should've done 1-20 legit to know how it is, theres not much you can do now if u want to do legit, cause you can't.

 

I would suggest just experimenting, do as many floors as you can on your own so you get the idea. But if you go to a dung world and ask someone, somebody should show you and teach you.

Would still like to know, almost botted 80 Dunge now. I just need to know what most people do in Dungeons.

Should I:

Kill everything I see?
Rush to open all the doors and get to the boss?

I don't want to go into group dungeons not knowing the best tactic at level 80.

 

If you watch your bot, you'll see that it rushes through rooms that don't need to be cleared. If it doesn't need to be killed, don't bother killing it.

 

Just continue botting. It will take a long time to get the grasp of the floors. If you really want, just look up guides and do the basic floors legit.

 

if you really want to play, just follow the group around and then maybe after a few floors you will start to get the hang out it. its not tooo bad.

 

Go in with a few teams and just go a little slower. Let others go first and observe how they act, then follow them and do it yourself next time.
