What router to buy?

So, basically, I want internet on my laptop and xbox at the same time. I'm tired of having to move cables and restart my modem.

I've used a router before, but every time I would play on my xbox, I would get disconnected from multiplayer lobbies. I need one that doesn't do this.

I get <20MB/s, so slow internet isn't my problem. Money is no object. Could someone please give me a recommendation?

Wouldn't you need the Xbox router too?
Unless you use an ethernet cable.
Most routers allow XBL multiplayer.

I use the D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router, it works great for me, no problems so far. Only problem was that it was annoying to setup (had quite a few problems in the installation). I don't know if the gaming one is overkill or not. And the Netgear one... No idea.

 

Linksys? Works good for me.

 

I got a fatass Belkin router. I've also had good way with Netgear. My pc and xbox are right next to each other and I just have a second Gigabit PCI card that i plug into the xbox. then bridge the connections on my computer.. im almost 100% positive theres a better way to explain it though

 

Netgear router. Most reliable. Awesome. Easy to use.

 

I have the Linksys Wireless G lol
cheap and works well.

I can play computer, use a laptop, and play xbox without problems.

 

I've had a Linksys G router before. That's the one that gave me problems.

 

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a Linksys WRT $50 router and you'll never have a problem.

If you need any help I'll teamview into your pc and do it for you.

 

I don't trust Linksys anymore. I want the top of the line router.
