What monster are best for getting clue scrolls ?

I fancy doing some but not sure which monsters are best to kill to get a few

 

I use to train on drags before I started botting.
I remember getting a scroll every 50-100 kills

 

What level clue scroll?

Hell Hounds and pretty much any slayer monster drop a lot of clues. Just wear a ring of wealth and you will get a ton anywhere.

 

Yeah i might try greater demons but i can think where they are that isnt in the wild

 

They are in brimhaven dungeon. Go up the stairs in the north west corner.

 

This, yeah they drop good clues and you can tank them for ages.

 

Hellhounds are 100% best for hard clue scrolls.

 

I find:
Lvl 1's: Men
Lvl 2's: Guards
Lvl 3's: Hellhounds with a RoW is like, every 20 kills for me

 

Which men or gaurds ?

like level 3 men ?
level 21 gaurds ?

and every 20 kills ? thats nothing

 

i've done a shitload of clues in my time, and the best methods ive learnt are:

Level 1 clue scrolls:
level 2 men/woman rather at house north of edgebank or camelot pub, sounds silly, but their 70hp, takes 1-10 minutes to get one.

Level 2 clue scrolls:
level 20 guards at ardougne market, find empty populated world, very fast clues, about 5-30 minutes.

Level 3 clue scrolls:
hellhounds, as their dropped as "uncommon" instead of the usual "rare" or "very rare", so their relatively fast to get, for a level 3 anyway.

secondary option for level 3's are aquanites, they also drop at as uncommon, and also drop amulet of rangings, but require 78 slayer to kill.

Level 4 clue scrolls:
only way is boss hunting i guess, used to get them now and then at Armadyl.

 

Kind of hard to say because you haven't elaborated. Pickpocketing HAM guards is about 1/10 chance of a clue scroll; they may have upped the rate a bit more but as far as I'm aware of that is the quickest way to get them.

 

Men, Goblins, HAM - Lvl 1 Clues
Harpie Bug Swarms, Guards - Level 2 Clues
Hellhounds, Jellies - Level 3 Clues
Bronze Dragons, Bork - Elite Clues

 

Frost dragons are pretty good.

 

Not like everyone has 85 Dungeoneering.

 

Ok i have decided to go on a hunt for hard clues.

That doesn't change the fact that they are still pretty decent for clues.

I don't see the relevancy.

Hellhounds are not dropping anything but bones for me

30+ kills and like 7 charms total

 

I got one within 5 kills the last time I tried, without a Ring of Wealth, so I guess its just luck of the draw. Just keep going and your bound to get a drop.
