What Is Your View On Life?

Well heres a few simple questions about the question in the title.

How did we get here?
Did Adam and Eve ever exist?
Are we where we are because of evolution?
Did god make the universe?

You may add other things to your answer, these were just to help you.

Some people who go to church might argue that evolution is wrong and that Adam and Eve existed.

Well im going to add a Poll with the Adam and Eve/Evolution as another way to see your views.

Errr, i doubt there were just 2 people on there own before every other life...

 

Evolution... Millions of years ago a big comet or whatever hit the earth... on the comets were bacteria the bacteria evolve to what we are now (Homo sapiens) <=- Thats just a theory but thats what i believe.

If god made the universe then who made god... If god was infinite then why can't the universe be infinite. What i believe is that the universe is infinite and there never was and never will be a god.

And i don't believe in a book that is full of errors. Beside most people that believe in god didnt even read the bible or any Evolution theorys. Or history books.

Your so definate in your ansers, when you (everyone) really isnt sure how we came to be. I can try an argue both ways.

Adam and Eve have had to be real, I mean someone wrote about them so somthing must be true. OR maybe Adam and eve was made up by some lucky man who found the coco plant

According to the bible, God is existance. there was nothing before God and there will not be anything after him/her/it lol

And as for you not believing in a book full of errors. Thats what science is based on, Errors. Guy who left bread out mold = ooh medicine. Science is trial and error.

How much of the bible have you read to know its full of errors? I have read evolution theories, and some of them do make sence to me. I always think about GOD, and EVOLUTION.

You obviously know NOTHING about evolution. Evolution doesn't happen to a species as a whole, it happens on a small scale. There aren't any true "in betweens" such as a half duck-half dog. The reason behind that is evolution is a slow, gradual process. The mutations have to be small enough for the animal to still survive. How would that latter combination survive? It would surely be too awkward to hunt for pray. And who would it mate with? Learn at least a little bit about something before you scrutinize it.

Says who? The chances of us being the way we are, i.e. intelligent, are so unlikely in the first place, that for it to happen in another species would be almost impossible.

If you are referring to our incomplete fossil record, the chances of a fossil forming are so low that we're lucky to have found what we have. I think that we will find more eventually, as we get to digging in new places, but the fact is that scientists are always finding out more and more about our past. Civilization as we know it, i.e. the start of technological advancements and such, have only been around for the past 2 or 300 hundred years. How can it be expected that in this short amount of time, we should have already found billions of years worth of fossils that are so unlikely to form? We can't just falsify the theory of evolution by incomplete evidence.

I would have to agree with you that the Big Bang Theory, as least as most people believe it to be, probably isn't true. I do think that there might have been a singularity at some point, but I think that some nuclear force acted upon it in such a way that it expanded. I can empathize more with the Big Crunch Theory. Maybe our universe is just the remnant of another before it, and that all the energy was drawn together, and at one point, there was too much contained in the small space, and it "exploded".

Do you think that just because someone wrote about Peter Pan that it was true? No, it was designed for entertainment. In the same way, these creation stories were just made up to explain things that no one could at the time. Also I believe you're referring to the coca plant, not the coco.

 

We evolved from simple celled organinisms many a year back.
The universe was created from the big bang.
There is no god, that idea is simply an excuse to avoid the unknown.
Adam and Eve is bullshit.
The church simply wants people to go so they get collection money.
Call me what you want but its pretty much the truth.

The inbetweens of evolution are mutations from previous organisms. Through Natural Selection the organisms genes select the most desirable trait and then when that organism reproduces that gene is passed on.

You believers say that GOD made the bible GOD is perfect why is the book full of errors then? thats right its made by humans. humans make errors. Also i never said that i believe everything that is writen in a science book. I believe what i see and what i think is right.

GOD is just a explanation of things we don't know.
We don't know what after this life. We don't know how we get here.
Thats why we believe there must be something like a GOD
It just the way human brains work.

There is more scientific evidense for the big bang than there is for any other theories, so at the moment the Big Bang theory is the "accepted" one.

 

I have not seen many, if any Atheists that think they know everything. The point that we try to make is that we don't everything, but refuse to use a religious placeholder as a temporary, if not eternal explanation.

I fail to see how mainstream science, or otherwise, has every provided a real explanation for what happens when we die.

Not many people who call themselves Atheists are actually true Atheists. In fact, I am agnostic in the sense that if someone proved to me that God exists I would believe it, however, I believe that the proposition is so unlikely that I chose to live my life on the basis that is it false. I like to call it Agnostic in belief, Atheist in practice. I would have to agree with the point that people are always pitting Atheism/Agnosticism strictly against Christianity. I have debated a few Deists and a Muslim, and disagree with their concepts, (although I rejoice in their lack of arrogance), just as much as I do Christianity.

The reason Atheists debate Theists is that believing in an imaginary being is delusional and should be treated as such. I don't want the people around me to blindly follow anything, I want them to think for themselves. I think it is part of our role in society to try and correct others when they are wrong, and show them when they are being idiotic.
