Gambling, is it right?

Gambling, I say its not right, but some people say it is. Life is about taking chances right? But is your hard worked money really worth the chance. In gambling your either backin out, or your gettin in. CHANCE. Share your thoughts.​

 

No guts no glory, No risk no point.

If you didn't take any gambles throughout life your gonna die with alot of regrets.

If however your talking about generic gambling like vegas etc, then still, i can't see anything wrong with it, if people wana do it let them, if it makes them happy then by all means let them get on with it.

 

I agree with take gambles in life essentially, but I don't believe that gambling makes everyone happy in what their doing, many people waste lifes on hoping for a lucky streak that usualy doesn't happen. Yes, gambling corporations tell you to gamble responsibly but they never implement these ideals, but I guess for some who are gambling merely for the entertainment purposes do enjoy themselves. But I'd say a large majority feels otherwise

 

Theres nothing wrong with it. It's not like you have to, you do it if you want to. Yes, you may get addicted but that's a chance you take. Some people are millionaires because of Gambling, people make a living from it.

 

All participants are aware of the risks, if they want to then theres nothing wrong with it.

 

I don't think Vegas gambling is the most productive cash flow nor is it good but if people want to ruin their lives. I will most happily let em'.

 

I'm thinking more along the lines of, don't expect to make cash, but only to loose it. I don't think alot of people who go there (to gamble foolishly) understand that point of logic

 

My grandfather can count cards. So when he gambles, it really isn't gambling.

I feel that gambling is an okay thing to do for fun. Like an occasional thing for holidays or other special occasions. But I wouldn't suggest wasting your entire paycheck each week. I've seen people lose their lifes over gambling. It can ruin you as fast as it can make you.

 

im thinking the question was more along the lines of, is it right to allow gambling or not?

I'm gonna have to agree on that. Though many think different, it does make sense as it is your money that your using

 

I think gambling is fine, but they should make up laws about the percentages you're allowed to put into it. That way people won't waste their lives spendings but can still make a decent amount off it.

 

If you can't do that on your own then you shouldn't gamble.

There is nothing wrong with gambling if you know when your to call it quits.

 

Its your money you can do what you want with it.

I think your placing a generalization of gamblers, there are some that gamble purely for recreational purposes. And if done so, what are the consequences of doing so if for enjoyment?

And what thoughts of loved ones would affect your OWN morality?

 

Gambleing is ok, I dont take it seriously like my friends do, for example i bring £20 to southend for example then i do a few machines and stuff have a laugh n joke my friends are like "I won £2!!!! Omg £2!!!!!" Sorta thing
then loose it straight away i allways go home with a profit

 

Of course it's right.. It's up to a person to gamble, and it's up to the casinos to pay out winnings.

 

When you gamble, you're supposed to acknowledge that you can win and lose. People that fail to understand this shouldn't gamble.

 

I agree however it is the mentality they have that they might get that one lucky break and strike rich fast. Sadly this is hardly the case
