What is true happiness?

I know it sounds a bit deep, and opinions will change from person to person, but I'd actually like to know what is true happiness to some.. It's a interesting question with even more interesting answers.

I personally think true happiness is when the individual is 100% content with everything in their life and would not change a single aspect.

A very general sense, but happiness is contentment.

 

Don't think it really can be answered, simply because happiness depends on the person.

I guess it could be limited to being content with what you have/where you are/who you are, but if you're content would you to strive for anything more?

I'm certainly happy, but I am ambitious and am while I am content with my current position/myself/etc. I know I want to do more (bit of a contradiction, but hopefully I can convey what I mean.)

 

Being content with yourself and living your life without worry.

 

Happiness is defined mostly on an individual level, with societal influence.

It varies from person to person and from society to society.

 

Imo happiness is when someone has reached a goal or is just generally always ina good mood and is proud of who he or she is

 

Well happiness is very much a chemical process so asking what is happiness is a very simple question to answer.

If you're asking in a more literal sense then the answer would probably be having sex under the influence of a drug like mdma. If you want a more long term answer scientists tend to agree that having frequent social interaction and a lack of stress is the ideal.

I'd say being content with life is the ticket, finding someone you love and a job you like is a good start. Haven't quite got it figured out myself.
