What is this? how can i fix it?

well, now and again my comps screen kinda fades into pink/ purple pixels, freezes, then restarts, this is the error i got after my comp restarts. this is on a laptop if that helps

 

Try to run your OS in Emergency mode(F8 while botting) and type if that happens again.

Im running in safe mode now, and its fine for now, comps been on 6hrs+,
that normally happens after 30 mins

did you change your hertz recently? seems like the monitor can't handle it

 

Try playing around or changing the graphics card in your computer, i had a similar problem with my Alienware laptop and all i had to do was resecure the graphics card and it started working again... well at least for a good couple of months and then it died. xD still have the broken shit lying against my wall -.-

Reinstall or update your video card drivers. Also, try reseating your video card, and ensuring the cable between your card and monitor is secure and not shitting (is your PC older?)

 

Ya was going to say that... follow those steps and tell us if its still working if not then your video card shot.

 

so id need to open up my laptop? and can i reinstall in safe mode?
my laptop is 1 year old

 

well, could changing the settings on a game do that? and before all this, i was playing call of duty world at war in safe mode
