What is this and what do I do about it?

I got this email... Is it legit? Is someone trying to gain access to my account? I'm unsure what to do...

Its a phishing email dont click or enter your pasword into anything...

 

I figured. I just wanted to double check. I didnt do anything no worries . Thanks

 

i dont think its a phising email because you dont have to actully login you just click the link and enter in that code and then change your pwd which wuldnt even matter if it was phising because well... even you dont know your pwd atm so ...

 

It DOES ask to log in first before you can enter the code. I got the same email.
Stay away from it!

 

I guess the bright side of this is that as long as you don't do anything they shouldn't be able to change your password even if they did try.

 

As if anyone would even need some kind of a permission to change your password if they DID get on your account. Can't believe people fall for this, lol.

 

I receive a HUGE amount of these knockoff Jagex emails.
Just mark them as junk and dont click anything in the email.

 

its a phishing email...how do I know? when it says "Dear Player"...when jagex sends you an email like that, they will say "Dear, YOUR RS NAME HERE"...that is a dead give away right there..

 

Anything that says "Dear Player" is most likely phishing , All my real emails get addressed "Dear (Account Name)"
