I've done salvia and acid a bunch of times. I discovered some social anxiety on my last couple of acid trips which wasn't cool, but the visuals on my last trip were phenomenal. Trees spun in endless fractals of like, every colour. The clear blue sky turned into infinite, colourful fractal tunnels (pretty much exactly like this relax. let the music engulf you.). My friends and I just chilled on the dock for the whole day and went swimming a few times in the lake. It's amazing to grab a pool noodle and just relax in the water, thinking about all the fish around you and the natural environment. For me, at least.

Salvia's been a different beast. It's super strong for its short duration. I convinced myself I was a hydro-dam once, and a time after that I saw Spongebob dancing around the room. My buddy stopped doing it because he became the couch he was sitting on and didn't really like becoming furniture. Understandable, I guess.

How about you guys? What have you done and how was it? Good? Bad?

EDIT: Did shrooms about a month after this was posted. I had a lot - probably not a good move. Half the trip was really depressing and bad overall. Eyes in the trees, queasy feeling, everything looked gray and dull. The sun came out a bit after and my other friends who were tripping around the property alone came back down and we had a blast together for the 2nd half of the trip.

I realized later that my buddy was playing some music during the trip that had very sad lyrics, but sounded cool. He listened to the instrumentals and loved it, but all I heard were the lyrics so it really set me down in a bad place. The sun came out as I mentioned though and the music was switched up, so the trip got good just after the peak.

What have your experiences been like on different hallucinogenics?

I've done mushrooms a few times, it's definitely an enlightening experience. The first time I ended up walking across town, down one of the main streets in town and I kept recalling a painting someone did in the art class I was in. (I was in highshcool at the time)

Spent the better part of a 45 minute walk discussing/debating the meaning of life/existence with a buddy of mine who I did them with.

The "visuals" were pretty limited, just little things that popped out at me, but overall it was a highly enjoyable experience.

The 3rd or 4th experience with mushrooms was one of the more enjoyable in terms of "visuals", however it was short lived.

I was going to a rave with a bunch of friends, and we were pre-gaming. Tons of alcohol, drugs, etc. My buddy had a mushroom connect and I asked him to make a call, and the connect came through. I got an 1/8th oz and chomped it down. (this is relevant later in the story, but I didn't realize at the time that alcohol actually dulls and shortens the affects of mushrooms)

So anyways. 30 minutes goes by and my buddy comes and checks on me to see how I'm doing. At that point, I wasn't feeling anything yet and was a little bit let down. He proceeded to check on me every 15-20 minutes after that to see how I was doing, and he ultimately passed word on to his connect. She came to me and told me that if I didn't feel anything within the next 20 minutes, she'd give me my money back.

At this point, I stand up and go to the kitchen where my friend, the connect, and a few other people were congregating. I looked out the window (my friend lived on a hill, overlooking the city) and immediately the trip kicked in. I started zoning out while staring at the lights of the city. My friend and his connect both looked at me, looked at each other, looked back at me and grinned, while asking "You're feeling it, aren't you?"

Anyways - That part out of the way. We proceeded to head to the rave, my buddy was driving and he told me to ride shotgun. On the way down the freeway, I felt as if I was going through space, completely entranced by the street/car/city lights flying past me. We got to the rave, I went up to the VIP area, while my friends went to wander. A couple hours later, I remember getting a text from my buddy asking me, "Hey man, where you at?" - to which I managed to reply "I am where I need to be"

Couple hours after that, I came down off the trip, and enjoyed the rest of the rave with a flask of Patron.

As for Salvia, I've done that once..... Never again.

I was with some friends, and we were all taking turns trying it. The device of choice was a bong. I took a big hit, and held it in until the smoke was zeroed, then exhaled. I leaned back into the couch and everything started to fade away as the music we were listening to became more prominent.

Very quickly thereafter, I got this sensation like somebody (or something) had grabbed me by the jaw and started prying/stretching my mouth/jaw open. The world started to zoom out as my jaw was progressively ripped further and further open. The world continued to zoom out, until I saw our solar system, then the universe, and ultimately everything down to a molecular level was being ripped apart with my jaw/mouth being the point of the tear.

At this point I apparently stood up and started screaming. According to my friends who were there, I had looked as if I was about to sprint out the door. This is where my best friend grabbed me, which immediately snapped me out of the trip, but not entirely. I spent the better part of the next 2-3 minutes (which felt like 30 minutes) clawing at my mouth, trying to ensure my teeth were still intact, and that my jaw was still there, while the only words I was able to mutter were "what was that? What just happened?" over and over again

I've enjoyed them before and never actually had a bad experience. Definitely have to be done on occasion and in safe environments.

I've done acid, mushrooms, Chunga (dmt with herbs), MDMA and ketamine on a number of occasions.

I usually go doofing in the bush when i take these substances so its always an awesome time, filled with friendly faces and great music.

Mushrooms are more of a grounding psychedelic experience for me. It feels very earthy and i usually get this underlying, subconscious connection to nature.

Acid usually effects my thought processes quite differently. It either makes me super in-tune or just sends me in loops. I sometimes describe it as; knowing what to do, but not knowing how to do it. It reminds me a lot of mushrooms, however the differences exist but are hard to explain.

Ketamine usually disorientates me in a great way. I feel conversationally on point and my body feels light as a cloud. If you do take enough ketamine it does have psychoactive properties as well. Ive had some great hallucinations off ketamine but its a fine line between having a good time and getting into a hole.

MDMA - I listed this one as a psychedelic as well, as I've definitely eaten enough of it as one time to have auditory hallucinations. Usually more closed eye visuals, but visuals nonetheless.

Weed - By itself, chills me like a cucumber, but combined with other drugs is a great way to intensify the effects.

DMT - Physical and mental overhall. My body felt like it was everything yet nothing all at once. Huge colour pallet of gemotrics and otherworldly unexplained mental interceptions.

Be safe, be wise and know yourselves. Different drugs suite people differently so dont do something just because your friend does.

Test the waters, just try a little bit and go from there.

What have your experiences been like on different hallucinogenics?

Did shrooms yesterday. Oh my god.

Half the trip was awful. Half of it was really good. I can't pinpoint where the source of my melancholy was. I was sad and depressed for the first half of the trip. Eyeballs and vines everywhere, but I was very conscious and grounded at the same time. I just sorta watched the vines and the eyeballs. I've had a bad acid trip before and on acid you do everything you can to avoid looking at scary visuals. On shrooms I just sorta laid there and almost embraced the fear. The music had sad lyrics so I think I put myself too much in the shoes of the artists. Sometimes the sounds were very harsh and loud and it was overwhelming. It was also cloudy and a few of my friends weren't having a great time so it created some bad energy all around. Shrooms also make you very sleepy. I was tempted to fall asleep (I was lying down on a floating raft off a dock at a cottage) but I didn't want to miss out on the potential good part of the trip later. It was a bit difficult staying up so I took a dip in the lake a few times to wake myself up. The water was nice but as soon as I got cold, that was a very bad feeling. Getting out of the water I was also hyper-conscious of all the bugs around. I didn't like looking at my limbs. I was experiencing some pretty heavy body disphoria.

When the sun started poking out, it got really fun. We were all on the dock cracking jokes. EVERYTHING was funny. All we did for hours was watch boats go by and making up stories as to where they were going. It was absolutely hilarious. My voicebox and jaw actually hurt today with how much I was laughing. The visuals were still pretty intense but in a more fascinating way. I really enjoyed watching the trees dance and curl. My buddy had 4 eyes almost the entire time but it felt pretty normal. I wasn't scared of it. Colours were really vibrant. Before, everything was grey, pasty, almost black and white. When the sun came out everything got really really colourful. The overall peak of the high lasted maybe 3 hours. The total high lasted maybe 6 hours. We tapered off around the 3 hour mark with some weed and some booze. That was a very chill feeling; the mix of the 3 together.

I'm not sure that I'd do it again, and if I did, I'd do less. I'm not sure how much I did but it was anywhere between 2 and 4 grams. At times it really felt like a lot.If I had to offer advice to someone regarding shrooms, I'd suggest to take it in moderation. Try a small dose first and see if you enjoy it. Find a good space with good friends and good upbeat, happy music, in a nice warmly lit situation (outside on a sunny day is best, but inside with some warm yellow light would be good too).

I also found that the high was very similar to acid. Acid lasts a lot longer and has less of a harsh come-up. It almost feels more gradual. It's like a hill, you work up and then back down. Shrooms is more like a cliff, with a very sharp initial peak, then it tapers off gently. The duration of shrooms is really nice because it feels like a whole day is spent on the high but in reality only 3 or 4 hours have gone by. We dropped at 3:30PM and I was back to a my coherent self, riding very small hallucinogenic waves at around 6:30-7PM. I've dropped acid at 10AM before and have still been tripping pretty heavily by 6PM, and slightly even still by midnight. Comparatively though, where my acid trips have almost all been positive throughout, half of the shroom trip was terrible and half was absolutely fantastic. You could say it's an investment. You're faced with inner demons and insecurities at the start, but you get to chill and have a fantastic time later.

In terms of the taste, it really just tastes and feels like wet cardboard that's been rubbed in dirt. It's not as bad as people say. I was able to eat them plain just fine.

What have your experiences been like on different hallucinogenics?

I've taken shrooms quite a few times. I totally understand the whole "half good/half bad" trip thing, that happened to me the last time I took them. I was with friends and I kept pausing to talk to trees and stare at the leaves which all had faces and were talking about me to each other. It wasn't sinister at all though, it was just like... they're talking and I'm talking back. My friends were just high and not tripping so it was all super positive. The trip has completely to do with your mindset and the environment around you. Never take it while feeling down or, like you did, listening to sad music. When I got back home, I was still tripping, and was losing my mind that I decided to walk into my parent's room and start talking to them... at 2 AM. Mid-conversation, their bodies started getting absorbed by the wall behind them and suddenly all I can see was their faces popping out of the wall. I freaked the fuck out and just left mid-sentence.

There are some things though that I have to disagree with entirely. Shrooms making you sleepy? That's the exact opposite of the chemical interactions that happen while you're on shrooms. If you are tripping, you basically can't sleep. There's so much going on in your mind. I have definitely gotten feeling of tiredness or yawning, but if you actually try to go to sleep you just can't do it. Your mind is thinking at a million miles per hour and you can still see the visuals with your eyes closed.

I also think acid has a much harsher and less expected come-up than shrooms. It just feels so much more organic and natural, like your body and visuals are just waves that happen super smoothly. Acid, or at least my multiple experiences with it, usually has a sort-of lack of control.

I could never do hallucinogens more than, probably once a month I'd say. It's just too intense. I don't have the urge to do it again. Unless someone offers me a killer experience (say going to a natural waterfall and springs on shrooms), I wouldn't break the 1-month rule.

I've never done acid or shrooms. I've seen sparkles of light in the sides of my vision for 5-15 seconds after I smoked a huge dab though.

That link you embedded is amazing dude, definitely going to use it during my next acid trip.

I've never done more than 250mcg of acid, so I haven't gotten really fucked up yet. I've seen my friends get into really bad trips though, at times I had to visit tripsitter to calm them down. Some of these things are pretty fucked up in the moment (like one time my friend was threatening suicide whilst holding a spoon in his hand, very messed up), others are more comedic like when my buddy stood in the toilet for 20 minutes trying to get himself to pee.

I only done shrooms but it was magical. I didn't do a crazy amount, but I had to take a picture of my friends dog and send it to someone just to make sure it was real. My friend and I would go upstairs into dark bedrooms and guess what the room looked like based on the vibes we were getting from it, and we were actually pretty accurate.

We only did 1.5gs that time and in a few days I'm gonna be doing 3-4. I'll make a log.

    I've done acid, DOM-STP, MXE, 4-aco-dmt, nbome.

On acid, I go on walks around my neighborhood and usually end up at a local park and watch the clouds. Next time I trip I'm gonna try riding my bike, sounds euphoric.

I've done lsd+mdma and rode the subway, that was really fun.

4acodmt usually has me thinking a bunch, analyzing my life, how others are interacting, and all that. This one time, I saw a movie and then had a long conversation with an artist in the subway. Ended off the high watching a beautiful woman play guitar in the same station.

Weed + 25i while camping = spicy. colors shifted, and watching the campfire was amazing

Last mushroom trip, I took around 5g. It was a different type of mushroom than I'm used to. It had a blueish cap with intermittent blue streaks throughout the stem. I only took one and it was enough to put me in a different place. There was mild nausea in the first hour but the come up was extremely relaxing to a point where you can't help but continually sighing. We ended up going for a bike ride around the neighborhood where all the shades and colors were exceptionally bright or exceptionally dark. My friends kept wanting to talk about reality and existence but I was much happier just lying on the pavement and looking at the stars.

I find mushrooms a lot more relaxing than LSD. My body is a lot happier with the mushroom induced wavy visuals versus the intense geometrical shapes I get on LSD. I've been thinking about trying DMT but I know it'll be even harsher.

Does anyone else have experience with DMT?

Forgot to mention that I dropped 125 micrograms of acid the other day at an EDM festival. It was life changing to say the least. I also ended up hooking up with a girl while I was tripping which was an incredible experience, but it was also really hard to focus/get into it.

At one point I laid down on the concrete and looked at the sky while the EDM music was playing and the clouds were just dancing and creating insane shapes. I kept seeing naked women in the clouds dancing to the music, idk it was weird.

The sounds and vibrations were so visual, I thought I was able to taste different bass drops.

I've done a plethora of psychedelics, as well as other substances - trippy and not. Since this thread is about psychedelics I'll mention the ones I've done. Acid a whole lot of times (nothing like going to see a live jam band show tripping sack on L), shrooms like 4 times, 4-AcO-DMT, and some others that aren't necessarily considered psy's. For example, dissociatives like DXM & nitrous oxide (aka. whipits which are the fuckin bomb when you're already tripping). I have also done MDMA which some people consider a bit psychedelic. Oh and ambien...which is just weird as fuck haha. And then stuff that isn't like a psychedelic: benzos (like xanax), painkillers, cocaine, amphetamines (like adderall & vyvanse), etc.

    And duh weed.

But anyways I would say LSD is on of my drugs of choice. It is just so awesome. Changes your whole conciousness for 12 hours. Makes music fucking insane and I just love the visuals and trippy headspace/feeling. The come-up and tail-end insomnia are the only uncomfortable parts. Shrooms is pretty sweet, but I don't like it as much as acid because it doesn't last as long, is more confusing, and makes me a bit nauseous. Shrooms and acid are definitely different but I appreciate them both.

I want to try 2cb as my next psy.

What have your experiences been like on different hallucinogenics?

I have done three types psychedelics (shrooms, acid, and salvia). Every experience has been unique in their own way. The most profound experience actually happened during a salvia trip. I met "God".

This wasn't a normal salvia trip where the room "spins" around or you feel connected to objects. As soon as the trip hit me, I felt dead, I was ripped apart from everyone and everything, literally. I took the hit just before getting into my friends car, since he was going to the store. I figured I would try it in a different setting.

Before we even reached the end of the street, I was gone. He had a song playing, "Kalyani" by Joe Byrd and the Field Hippies. I really did believe I was dead and it scared the shit out of me. I had entered a void of nothing, I could feel the rushing of space all around me as I was ripped from this world, I could see it "behind me". By that I mean in a quantum sense. I could see time in every sense of the word and that my life was now in the past.

After what seemed like eternity of floating in this void of space, he/she appeared to me. The only way I can describe her/him was an androgynous Vishnu/Shiva of the Hindu faith. I immediately felt at peace, I immediately knew that it was okay to be dead and that it was a cycle of life. God communicated these things with me telepathically and reassured me it was all part of the plan, and that we are not bound by Earthly things once we leave Earth and that I should not worry about my friends or family because everyone is always connected and we are all one.

It was sometime during this that I could feel myself, "coming back". I could still feel connected to that void, but slowly I was recognizing my friends car and the neighborhood we were in. My two friends in the car told me I was breathing so heavy and fast, and kept yelling, "Oh my god, this is....this is what it is!!", over and over. For what seemed like an eternity in my trip was 4 minutes. I can mark the route from my friends house to the store he was going to in my head, and in those 4 minutes I had the most fascinatingly transcendent experience in my life. By the time I was back to 'reality', the end of the song "Kalyani" kept repeating, "Waiting to die, waiting to die, waiting to die." Quite the fitting song for what was happening and had happened.

I wish everyone could experience what I did, but perhaps we all will someday in time. or was it just the reaction of neurotransmitters in my mind? Who knows. I am not a religious person, so this particular experience was most likely not biased by such things.

    Thanks for reading.
