Discord vs Sythe

Do you guys think Discord is having a negative effect on Sythe? Do you think the Sythe discord will eventually replace this site? Good or bad thing?

Curious to see what a few of you think.

 

I dont think the Sythe discord will take over the sites role. I think the forum format and being able to get even more details by clicking on a thread and how much easier it is to provide details about the service/account you're selling makes it superior. Also the fact that you can much more easily compare different prices through the forum format is what keeps it so popular.

Discord is only great for communication, but its not great for more "permanent" things like scam reports since you cant really have 10000 different channels keeping account of each report.

 

Although yes it has a negative effect in such ways drawing less traffic to the website, if it wasn't discord there would be something else to generally take its place

 

I don't think Discord will ever replace the website, though I do think that having a Discord co-exist next to the website does affect the site's activity as some people might rather choose to chime in on the Discord once in a while, than check the website once in a while.

 

I think it works both ways to be honest, the reason I'm using Sythe is because of discord as I need to promote my server, I wouldn't be here otherwise I think, or atleast very rarely, but whilst here sometimes I meet people, see what else is around etc.

 

The coexistence factor is what weights out more.
