What do mm/omm do?

Could you please tell me what they do?

 

MM's make trades safer. Both people give the goods/cash to the MM, and the MM sends it to the rightful owners. Stops scamming.

OMM's are people who have completed the Official Middleman Application process, and are deemed by sythe to be trusted enough to be classed as official, and therefore recommended.

 

MM- Like a third person in a trade between two other people.
Hold the items from both sides then distribute them to the other side.
Some are more trusted than others.

OMM- Third person but they have gone through a application process which requires many expensive trades to be completed and then staff must accept of them i believe.
They sometimes/most of the time charge for doing this though.
Recommended for very large trades though, rather be safe than sorry.

What if someone is buying an item or something through PayPal or moneybookers?

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I belive that they trade you the item or whatever and then the mm says they have the item, then the person sends the money and then the person getting the money confirms they got it, then the mm gives the item to the person paying for it.

And mm/omm's is what IDB and homie said.

 

It depends, sometimes the MM will receive the item and check it or sometimes they will just hold the money until a person has gotten the item that was sent to them and could check it.

 

Sometimes a MM could scam you as well, take the buyer and the sellers money/account,etc.

jus' saying, it's happened too many times on sythe. Have administrators mm your trades only imo.

 

MM's will take both products/payments from either side and give them to the correct person.

On the other hand, an OMM is just that except they have had to go through an application process to become "official"

 

mostly answered here. the big thing to remember is that they are being trusted with both parties goods to ensure a safe trade.
