What do I do if Ddos'd?

Well , I recently found an attack by " someone ". Well this guy is messing with my internet and I cant do anything about it. His IP address is
209.107.213.27 , if I report this " attacker address " to my isp , will they stop whoever is doing this to my internet? My internet is like crap now, I need some help and is there any softwares I can prevent the ddos or whatever makes my internet slow and outpost gives me an ip address

call them tell them they'll change everything, if they don't there are guides on google on how to change your IP yourself.

 

You could just do it back. You can also get a specific IP block from you're ISP.

Call them and ask that they block all activity from Insert ddosers IP.

 

What if the person is using botnets?

I managed to find out where he lives with his IP

 

I had my internet knocked offline from this by Predator I believe his username was on Sythe. He's banned now. Anyways, just call up your ISP, explain what happened, and ask for an IP change.

 

If it's a few ip's you can just filter them out or put a javascript login on the index page. If it's botnets and your hosting is bad then you're screwed.

 

There is a such thing as botnet protection, all it takes is a quick search in google.

It's not like you can really report it and get them arrested, people don't take it serious enough.

The only real thing you could do was find his internet provider, call them and tell them the situation - make sure you have evidence.

 

either block the know ip's in your router/modem settings, and if its a botnet then request an ip change from your isp or download one of those botnet protection things.

Well if they are using botnets then they really hate you, or have no life.

DoS them back. or tell your ISP

 

Phone your ISP, they'll do something about it

 

There's no point unless the OP has hundreds/thousands of botnets, his single DoS attack will have next to no effect, as the person will filter his IP, or put a javascript login on the index page of his website.
