hey im getting a new computer for Christmas and i want to know which one to get
here is what i want
-$300-$500.
-must be able to run multiple programs like limewire, firefox, ect. at the same time.
-must have decent memory.
-desktop OR laptop.
-just a good all round computer.
-are you selling one like this? pm me.(irl money)

well 500 bones can get you a pretty decent computer out there nowadays

Athlon 64 AM2 X2 5600+
Asus M2N-MX SE
1GB DDR2
some sort of dvd rw
GeForce 6100 Graphics intergrated
onboard ethernet + sound

if you want more hd space you could always downgrade the cpu and upgrade the hd.. otherwise that system would cost you just about 500

btw thats only for the tower
i assumed you have a moniter and mouse + keyboard and such...

Masta WC

Try a Core 2 Duo
Downgrade the motherboard
Upgrade the 6100, a 7600gt or gs would not cost much.

Forgive me I am in Australia, the prices are different, so I'm sure you would be able to afford a tad more then me :)

What is your location?

usa. and yea i got wireless keyboard and mouse and normal monitor i have a compaq presario x1000 atm idk the specs =] and i dont play and hard core graphics games only soldat, rs, bro plays online games on miniclip, game brew newgrounds ect. ect.

i suggest you get the best processor you can find if you want to run multiple programs at once..

yea i was thinking about getting an alienware but they expensive i think they have financing plans like $45 a month

and yea at best buy i was looking at some acers and well the one you showed me (im not good with computer specs) is that a good one =p

I currently have an eMachines t5212

It comes equipped with 1 gig of memory, 180 gigabyte hard drive and lots of cool features. It currently runs Windows XP Media Center. Not currently selling just giving you a suggestion

buy a hp pavillion

The computer posted above from tigerdirect is a really nice deal. If you do not choose that one thing to keep in mind is that if you want your computer to run really nice with vista, 2gb of ram or more. From charts I have seen amd athlon 64x2 processors run faster then intel pentium dual core processors, though do not mix up intel pentium dual core processors for intel core 2 duo. Intel core 2 duo is awesome.

PS: Check the best buy and circuit city flyers, every now and then they have a great deal.

Wow, melvin stop spamming. At least use proper grammar in your sentence >__>

You didn't even give a reason why to get one.

Why don't you buy one of the defaults sold at stores like dell? You won't need to worry about buying parts until you want to upgrade. Pre-mades will also come with everything you need to get running easily. It should be easy.
