I heard good and bad things about buying gold from sites, so I decided to test the waters making a small purchase of 5m for like 3 bucks from Rs2Goldmart. Went smoothly, a lvl alt named rdsad2 delivers within 5 mins. Then I'm like "okay time to make the real purchase" I buy 110m for like 73 dollars via paypal btw. Another lvl 3 named qve3 delivers it 10 mins later but this time he says trade it back and he'll trade it back so jagex can't track it. Now I know right there it sounds ridiculous but then he says if I don't cooperate I'll get charged a fee of $60 , yet I'm still hesitant, I tell him to get the guy rdsad2 to tell me to do it and I will, so he does and I do. And what you think does end up happening, I'm blocked and scammed hard. I can't yell out give me back my gold to lvl 3's obviously so I call their customer service and some rude chinese lady is saying that nobody by those names work for them, and i was like "how did they know i was buying gold and how much i was buying?" she's silent for a second then just rambles on. Emailed them but got no response still, tried their bogus live-chat and got nothing. So I filed a dispute on paypal and they still state I got what I purchased , so I escalated it to a claim. How likely is it that I get my money forced refunded? And this site seems like it has a better system. If anyone was in my shoes what else would you do? Or have I done all i could. (And please don't point out all the wrong thing's I've done, I wish I could just go back and log off right after I got the money. :/

Yeah, try and get your money back. It was your own fault for buying from such a place. If you buy from Sythe.org, you can request an Official Middleman to make the transaction as safe as possible.

Yeah you probably will get it back just contact paypal and explain your situation, also buy gold from trusted members here you save money and are way less likely to get scammed.
You fell for the oldest scam in the book, i know several people *not on this site but ingame* who sit at popular trade spots, and watch level 3's trade, and come up to the high level and ask for the money back etc etc.
Heres some advice..
-If they ask for the money back NEVER EVER Give it back. They clearly say in there support they the Sellers will NEVER ask for the gold back.
-Try a more secured site like playerauctions.com
-or one of the most trusted gold sellers here on sythe.
Again Never EVER Trade the gold back if they ask you in-game.
IMO, it's pretty unlikely to get your money back from the PayPal claim. The reason why Sythe users don't favor PayPal is because of high chargeback and scam issues, and that PayPal does not offer buyer/seller protection of tangible goods and virtual items.

I think he will get his money back because the website is the one with intangible goods and is bad with charge backs.

sorry to hear but most sites say "we will never ask for the money back" or "never give the gold back to us once you have purchased" so it is partly your fault but that is ridiculous how they scammed you most sites have the worst live chats. i bought gold and i got stuck with some Asian that had the worst english, but as everyone else has said buy gold here from a trusted member.
