What are your thoughts on the pope?

To me he is just a political puppet more than he is a preacher of God. The idiot is even coming out with a rock album? WTF? Total disrespect to God

I have to agree with this. First pope I've really seen make some breakthroughs in changing the way people of his faith judge others.

 

The entire system overall is a joke.

AFAIK the new pope is doing better with things such as cutting his robe costs in half and questioning people who spend a lot of money on unnecessary stuff. But still

 

He seems like a good egg. While I'm unreligious, I respect that he has his and his 'followers' or whatever you call them have their religious desires to see and meet him. For the most part though he is spreading good messages.

 

Yup, completly agree.

I wouldn't praise him myself but I guess it's nice to have him, he seems like he really cares.

 

I'm not religious, but can respect his views on various topics. He's a good role model for the progressive movement.

 

A good pope/role model but BS how the entire media is talking about him right now when there is a lot more important topics.

 

The media ALWAYS does that.

Super nice guy who preaches good morals. Shame he does it in the name of an institution as terrible as Catholicism and Christianity.

 

I feel that he has deserved a good chunk of that praise. Constant coverage maybe not, but in my eyes he is an amazing person.

 

The pope is just another person just like you or I. Nothing special about him

If not he's doing a hell of a lot better than his associates.

I don't believe in the whole "papal visiting" thing... I feel like people tend to regard the Pope himself, as G-d.

 

i really don't like that whole community i think they are puppets like mentioned by OP and they just spin the politics / media and get people to follow their beleifs

 

The pope is a fucking idiot as well as the catholic church as a whole. Why would you join a religion that follows a book of rules yet go against the very first ten rules.

Sorry if I seem a little harsh, but I could care less about the pope or the catholic church.

P.s. He is both a puppet and a key player.
