Refund Rule

Set a reasonable time frame in which one must refund a user if deemed eligible. When someone is selling an account or anything really, if something goes awry and the seller is unable to recover what was sold in a reasonable time frame they are required to refund.

I understand giving the seller some time to gather the funds without penalty. However, some users take advantage of this and will make you wait to refund you. (In hopes you will accept much less as a refund believing it's better to get something rather than nothing, or in spite of staff's decision.)

Every situation is different, but I believe there should be a respectable standard in place for the seller to refund or face penalty. I may come across biased due to the recent situation I've had, but I'm sure this isn't the first or the last time sellers will do this. I think this rule could encourage sellers to refund in a timely manner instead of waiting until it's convenient for them.

Report the issue as soon as you've contacted the seller.

I don't think there is a one size fits all solution here.

The staff will make sure the reporter is refunded in a reasonable time frame.

 

With all due respect, I've done so and ongoing a month without a refund nor anything stated to the seller that he needs to refund me in a timely manner; I still think there should be a somewhat reasonable standard.

 

Is there a pending report? If you've reported him he should be banned at this point and I'd be happy to get some mod attention for you.

If you're dealing with him on Skype or whatever, well there's your problem.

 

He has been banned for a month pending my refund. What I'm saying is he's under the impression he can take as long as he wants to refund without penalty. I don't think this is acceptable and believe a reasonable standard should be set in place to prevent others from taking advantage.

If they're playing it case to case I wouldn't mind if they decide to compose something a little more concrete.

 

I'm not too familiar with this particular case but I'd say that a month is definitely pushing the bounds of what is considered a reasonable time frame for a refund. Again, I don't know the exact specifics of this case, but feel free to tell the user that they have 24 hours to refund otherwise they'll need to pardon to be unbanned.

 

Regarding this specific case, it's very likely going to be a "Cross that bridge when we come to it" sort of deal.

 

Also there should be a slight extra you'd need to pay on top of the refund. You need some kind of punishment for your actions.
