We've run into a few issues with under-staffing. Most of our trades have happened via IRC which we are quite popular in. We'll be working in the coming weeks on developing some form of in-game advertising, without running annoying spammers that affect everyone.

Indeed, I was actually part of A C I D Y's merchanting clan (we were the ones that first bought out 3rd age and ZGS's)

Couple high profile SM ranks were a part of that chat as well, and they'd leak what items were good to buy (Or I'd be able to tell when they asked me to PC their bank in a trade screen with me. Kinda obvious when you have like 220k dragon darts that you're about to merchant them lolol)

 

Yes actually I remember that pretty well. I know the ranks you're referring to and they were removed once we found out. When we removed one of our administrators, many of the people from A C I D Y's actually came forward and spoke about it. Apparently information was being sold. Merchanting was amazing back then, but the problems with trust were huge and weighted down merches quite a bit.

Still an old mans tale to this day. History.

 

Lol yeah, I remember 3 guys who got pissed since they split a rank fee between the 3 of them and then their account got kicked.

Junk trading back then was amazing if you knew how to utilize it. One good thing about those merch clans is that they always stuck to the same items (Dragon darts, rune knives, tree seeds, talismans, colored mystic pieces, etc). Whenever I got something I knew was a hot merch clan item I'd just hold onto it until that was the next item lol (or slowly unload it if I ran out of other junk)

Ah the days of (p++) bolts, animal masks, gilded, unenchanted onyx jewelry, worthless partyhats, summoning pouches, third age, camping GE for updates, etc. Good times haha
