Weird name flag that happened??

Hey, my pures name got flagged for a name change because someone must have reported it innapropiate. No big deal, i went to change my name and added a "-" instead of a "_" and it actually went through. To my knowledge you can't use dashes though right? People in my clan chat and friends can't even type - when they go to add me. Is this a glitch that happened with the rename system because when Jagex flagged me for a rename they changed my name to "#$#$@$#@#$@". So i couldn't log in. But my new name logs in fine with a "-".

Not sure if this is something new that's happened just a bit weird.

 

I have the same problem. There is some scammer @ duel arena who has been using this glitch for 3 months now. I can not add this person to my ignore list.

 

Well my name has a - now. Actually kinda regret doing it. Like the hipster status but im the owner of my CC LOL

 

Weird, never heard of this glitch before. Definetely falls under bug abusing though if you don't change your name.

 

Yea could jagex punish you for it maybe?

 

You can use dashes; it's actually just treated as a space. So if you had the name "Rocket-man" if people want to add you or join your cc they'd have to enter "Rocket man"
