Website Advertising/Promotion Tips?

Hi Guys,

I have been doing some research on this lately. I am looking for ways to promote my website (not just related to SEO).
At this point I am looking at Google Adwords, Facebook Advertisement, maintaining a regular page, competition, regular thread updates. Really looking to plan this out and add a lot more to the list.

Since a lot of people here on Sythe run very successful websites and can speak from personal experience. Let me know what your ideas and suggestions are!

What sort of website do you have? Can you link us? That's really critical for choosing a specific platform.

 

Is is a game related boosting website (specifically Hearthstone), but all general tips are welcome.
Currently not ready to live yet so I will refrain from providing the URL.
At the moment I am the phase for trying to figure out a successful marketing plan.

 

Hmm well the layout of a website matters a lot not only for SEO but also website advertising selection. If you're not selling a specific product and just looking for traffic, perhaps Google Adwords Display network would work. It's hard to say without seeing the website.
