We need to stop the dispute section being misused

so what I’m saying by this is people like @Divine using it to his own advantage.

Now I love @Wortel to bits but he shouldn’t be handling the disputes like he has been for people like this, I understand he has worked for him or does work for him but it kind of just shows favor to people you shouldn’t.

What I propose is, if they aren’t going to follow the proper format and instead “hey mate here’s an IP for everyone to see can you tell me if they have an account?” Instead lock/hide the posts and if they continue then hand out warning points.

 

This was already discussed between Sythe & I earlier, the matter is resolved.

After receiving feedback from Shin and having a discussion regarding the matter with Sythe I've decided that the sythe community will be left at the mercy of the people who scam my site :shrug: I've probably single handily prevented 50+ scammers from scamming hundreds of people but apparently its to "inappropriate" to learn whether an Ip has a sythe account.

Personally I think your flipping stupid to think that way considering the sheer volume of scammers I keep at bay through my reports and ip checks but :shrug: not my decision.

No support from me, the matter is resolved.

The saddest part here is that my fellow sites use my ip checks to flag IP's and prevent disputes/chargebacks happening to them, not only does restricting me cause a shit load more scams but it will ultimately hurt every single site who suffers from fraud/scamming/ddos.

Unfournate how they feel but that's the name of the game.

All it does is aid the community and its business's and we have circle jerks like you who are salty with me personally, never mind the hundreds of victims you are fucking over right, if u figure every check I run I manage to stop 1 scammer on average and that scammer has 3-5 victims, its really in the hundreds of scams :l.

It's shit like this which is why I've withdrawn 90% of my activity from Sythe and continue to become less and less active.

I gain NOTHING by running those checks, every Ip I check? They've already scammed me, I've already lost the money, me running that check is purely me preventing the sythe community from getting fucked over by someone who already did it to me. Me running those checks is me helping Sythe and even now Assholes like you try to prevent it because its ME doing it when it all my intentions are, are to help and I have been for years now, only recently with specific staff and people who dislike me have I had issues getting ip checks confirmed and processed.

Shame on those people for causing all the scams that happen in the future due to me not doing my Ip checks, their on your head and my track record suggests you'll of caused hundreds more now.

 

I want to make 3 things very clear.

1. Staff are courts; not police.
2. Sythe is not a tool for you or anyone else to use.
3. User information is private.

You might as well ask us, "What's the home IP of this user?" Telling you whether or not a user has a connection to Sythe or is currently banned on Sythe based on an IP helps with nothing. If the user isn't banned, would you submit a scam report? If the user is banned, would you ask what the ban reason is to see if there is a potential to counter-scam? There are issues with both of those scenarios. If you were scammed by someone and you suspect them to be a user on Sythe, submit a report like everyone else so staff can address it as a court.

 

Not even going to read most of that horse shit because it's irrelevant to what i'm mentioning and you know it. You're using the friendships with people like @Wortel to abuse the system and get information, unless someone HAS done something you shouldn't be doing anything such as sharing their information.

"I've been here for years" I don't give a shit honestly. You could of been here since birth it makes no difference you are not more superior to us.

I just want to point out that you're wrong of there being a friendship between me and @Divine and you're also wrong on people being biased on reports. We're aware that this could happen but I'm also very sure everyone on the staff team is aware to push your personal opinion regarding a person aside when dealing with them during your moderator duties. I'm also very interested in seeing reports in which I let my personal opinion of a person take over - if that's the case with me or anyone else you're free to report me or any other moderator to the admins and they will deal with it.

Though if I'm not mistaken @Sythe has repeated numerous times that we do not have to listen to the likings of the community if they believe we are biased; we're moderators after all and should be mature enough to deal with anything, even if it involves our greatest friends or enemies.

 

It's been known you are friends, hence why I mentioned it.

Instead of him making a valid report with proof and the format like you would ask anyone else he just titles it "@Wortel"

 

The reason he did so was because:
- Created a report here: ip check
- I replied on it giving more information
- Divine created this thread: Resolved. (it was called @Wortel)
Reason it was called @Wortel because I gave him more information about the user.
I'd also like to mention that this has happened only once.

 

From what i've seen it has actually happened many of times.

But hey, i'm not here to insult you or make you feel that way, i'm simply asking for the rules to be reinforced literally, after all we're not meant to be "editing history" and so on either which still happens.

 

It appears @Shin has been handling this and setting the standard for the staff team to follow.
