Way too many scam reports! Take a look!

I am not trying to attack at the staff, I know they are busy, but there are way too many scam reports that have not been read. Please take a look at them immediately. Thanks.

Threads like this add no positive benefit to the community. I'm sure every single one of the staff know about the status of the RaSc section, and something will be done about it. A thread like this just takes up more time, and will frustrate them sooner. Just be patient, and it'll be answered.

 

The staff will get to all the reports. It is just a matter of time. Most staff will not camp Sythe as it is not their day job.

 

We all can be patient, but what happens if more people get scammed by the scammers? That's the real issue.

The mods know it's a problem, and will be onto it as soon as they have time.
As of now, Karl has already gone through a huge chunk.

 

I made this thread, to give awareness to staff. I think the scam section and spam section should be taken care of first, thereafter all other sections.

For the past 3-4 days, I have reported spam posts, but none have been done either. I know all staff are busy, but please take immediate action soon. That's all I am asking. I am not hating any staff, they are all awesome.

 

In my honest opinion every scam report should be handled or at least replied by a mod(sectional or global) within the hour.

Sythe needs some serious reforms a users education in the trading scene, not only for trading but what to do if it goes wrong(scam attempt, scam, impersonating, etc)

This suggestion won't do anything of course, just piss off more the staff; Anyhow it would be good to have more staff, or Scam Reports Handlers that can temp banned if they deem it needed, so users stop scamming now, not in 5 days.

 

Reports being handled within an hour is unrealistic, it would mean to have staff in all timezones, not a realistic situation, sorry.. we're not robots.

 

Every hour, for at least 15 minutes I've seen at least 1 mod. I was online all hours last week because I had no school.

It's no so unrealistic if you have the staff. I never said you were robots, not you are required to be. ^_^

 

Though it isn't realistic that the reports be handled within the hour (the time it takes to sort through evidence and make a clear judgement) though it is obvious that some of these reports were made days ago..

 

Man i'm tired of threads like this.
If someone is on Report a Scammer thread.
Why trade with them??
Do a little research about the person you are trading with.
Check to see if they are reported in the forums, do your part.
Just because they aren't banned doesnt mean "Oh ill trade him, sure ill go first"
Take the time to look threw the Scammer Thread before you trade with a person.

 

have patience bro! the scam reports dont just get approved at first sight!!! they need to be investigated and verified by the staff.

this topic is in no way, helpful... you are now pressuring the staff to make false bans

 

The issue is the build up reports not being looked at. Scamming is inevitable so simply saying do some research won't have that big of an affect if the would be scammer has a clean record.

 

I understand, I agree it should be looked at more, but what i am saying is there would be less scamming if people would take the time to go to Report a Scammer thread and see if there is anything about the person they are trading with.

 

You don't understand: they shouldn't have to go through the report a scammer section because if they were dealt with, the scammer would have already been banned.

 

So you are saying that if I make a false report scam on someone really trusted, all the community should not trade him?

I understand, but mods are humans and will not be perfect at banning all the time. Also if you cared enough about the trade you would put forth effort to look. Whether or not you should have to, its that extra step to be safe.

Not many people actually know when to trust a scam report, and when not to.
