i personally think movados are tacky but apparently people buy them..

I have a few Movado's & also a few Tag's. My collection has been chopped down because I used to think Citizen was a good brand, then I got educated on swiss made time pieces.
I am buying my first Hubolt & either Audemar or a Rolex. I am set on the Hubolt though, the prices on those are fair in retrospect to what you recieve.
My current FAVORITE brand, although I do not own one, is Richard Mille. Beautiful time piece.
post proof of your collection. sounds like a load of hot air otherwise

Came this thread expecting to see a discussion on some worthwhile watches, was fairly dissapointed. Not to be rude but what is that crap? $170 watches? Might aswell buy a $200 Michael Kors or a $150 Fossil watch if you are into that kind of low quality fashion product.

Save up for a Rolex or Omega that will last you a lifetime and will increase in value as time goes on. I personally own a 2012 Rolex submariner worth $7200.
After reading this post I'm going to get tested for leukaemia.

$200 low quality are u retarded bro ur Rolex is probably worth more then ur existence

What's a good gold and a good silver watch I can purchase that's on the cheaper end of the spectrum? Any recommendations?

You can try Rotary, they're a swiss brand for the working class. Always a good quality of watch. I've currently got a gold and silver Hugo Boss watch however which is really nice, quite heavy, well made and a stand out piece. I'm often on the recieveing end of complements for it lool.

Average price of a rotary is about 150-200 GBP

The hugo boss watch i brought was about 350 GBP and was worth EVERY penny.

Otherwise a really good make for watches which is on par with the likes of rolex, brietling and other well made watches would be Christopher Ward!

If you havent heard of the brand already i definitely recommend checking them out, they're online only and dont usually advertise so they dont have to pay out these huge overheads. This is making their watches an affordable price but with super super high standards.

So yeah, if your into watches i beg you to check out the Christopher Ward, Trident Series. Thank me later!

DO any of you know where I could get this watch? It used to be on amazon now I can no longer find it.

I stopped wearing a watch. It feels odd to check the time so often. The last one I wore was an old Swiss Army watch I got from an uncle.

I've got a pretty nice Rotary piece, cost me about £300 4 or 5 years ago.

It's the only watch I have currently, but I am looking at more and those Christopher Ward ones look really nice, thanks.
