Watch out [Keylogger/Rat]

Was contacted on skype asking to sell gold, he seemed like a normal customer until he asked me to place an order with his live chat.

I kinda said whatever, clicked the link, and saw my firewall popup asking to use java. Guessing this was a RAT and didn't know where to post, just wanted to give a heads up to fellow members.

Hopefully you didn't allow it. though that isn't a java bug that's just a driveby luckily it wasn't silent.

most of the times they search for newcomers, they never target goldsellers unless they have a very creative tricky idea. thanks for the heads up OP

op's speculation intrigued me, It made me think back at a moment when i was presented with same situation but different scenario. Clicked on something and was presented with the same thing as op, curious if it really is a exploit..

 

Not an exploit, but yea definitely an infection method.
