Honestly imo, if anyone was stupid enough to think that successfully using the instakill dart on a monster when it is being attacked by multiple players will guarantee the loot is yours, they deserve to lose their darts. People always bitch back saying 'Why would I bother to read the RS site?' Well obviously so you don't go full retard and do something that the website specifically says you should avoid. You know why you should actually 'bother to read the RSOF'? So that you don't look like a tard when you don't know something, ask a stupid question, or do something stupid when it all could have been avoided if they had just taken a few minutes to read the RS website.

And no OP, I'm not talking specifically to you.

 

Why would I take offence to that, lol? I'm not one of those people who did such a thing, was just pointing it out to those who have yet to use them but may turn out to be in the same situation otherwise.

It's especially amusing to see people ask a question like 'so what was the update about?' after a system update...when it's clearly in the top article of that day on the home page.

 

Regarding this whole topic and what you've just said;

People seem to be very lazy and if they do something stupid they try to blame it on something immediately, heaven forbid they made a mistake. This is just another case of them trying to find a scapegoat instead of owning it. Also with the system update and asking what that is all about, that just makes me facepalm. They think its easier to blabber around asking people about what it was about when in 10 seconds tops they could have navigated to www.runescape.com and clicked on the top article. Society today... It's going down hill.
