[Warning] NEW Skype Exploit [Warning]

2 step verification is only available to those who use an email / facebook login for skype. Regular Skype accounts do not have this option as of yet. From what I've seen, it is much more difficult to hack an email/facebook login skype. However, hackers can actually have these accounts "suspended" (AKA banned). Well, if you assume everyone is hacked, you will require proof that they aren't hacked. Such as PM or using their Live Chat. I am not saying everyone is hacked, but by taking this perspective people can protect themselves.

 

Care to pm me how they are doing it?

 

Not entirely sure on the specifics of the method. Likely they are social engineering the live chat / form recovery system. Potentially they could be working with someone who is actually on the Skype support team.

Doesn't matter who it is at the end of the day, if one person can do it, others can as well. Just keep being extremely cautious with Skype trades everybody.

Let's be fair here. No 3rd party chat application is ever going to be 100% secure.
