Warning from buying OSRS Gold

I never post on this forum anymore but just thought I would share my experience as I don't see many people posting about it.

I read the update about Jagex looking to target buyers now but didn't see many people talking about it. I went ahead and purchased 500m OSRS Gold from RSGoldMine (they offered a very good price).

On RSGoldMine they had a section about ban prevention and safe trades, the usual stuff and had quoted that they have never had a player banned for buying gold.

They traded me from a level 90 account in barrows in a members world in two separate trades. I put a lot of extra items up to try and make it look genuine.

Now around 10 days later I have logged into my account and discovered a warning in my player inbox from Jagex. It states that if I am caught again then I could receive a temporary or permanent ban. They did not remove anything from my account.

I won't be buying gold again on this account

 

Thanks for the heads up. I hate to see them cracking down the way they are.

 

Weird how gold sites still think it is a good idea to split trades when trading over gold. If you think about it, what is a more obvious RWT? 2x 250M trading or 1x500M. The later option could be a loan to a friend or a split from a PVM drop. Trading in increments is more risky.

Also, did you trade on your home ip address or a proxy? did you use the account you were normally playing on?
